The Last Contract of Isako is an absolute standout. Fonda Lee delivers incredible character work that makes every interaction feel meaningful and emotionally grounded. The atmosphere is rich and immersive, pulling you completely into the world from the very first pages. One of the biggest highlights is the plot twist — it’s genuinely surprising while still feeling perfectly earned in hindsight. More than anything, this was just an amazingly enjoyable read from start to finish: tense, engaging, and impossible to put down. A fantastic blend of sharp storytelling, compelling characters, and unforgettable moments.
