Truly enjoyed this one. It has been a while since I've read any sci-fi, and this one did not disappoint for a leap back in. The depth of detail, and the struggles of Nevarez to discover and hold on to what it meant to be herself...just wonderfully written.
I absolutely adored this book. It draws you in with a series of seemingly unconnected stories, then deftly weaves them together to form a tale that spans space and time. One of the rare books that I could lose myself in.
And excellent read.

I loved how Miller brings the stories of Greek mythology to life. Circe's struggles with being a goddess while interacting with mortals make her very relatable as a character, and the world Miller builds really fleshes out this tale.
This was fun read. Life of Pi is a well written exploration of human frailty and strength. At first Pi's acceptance of all faiths as true bothered me (well, it still does) I realized that this is a common problem today, and well reflected in the book. I didn't care for the ending much, but I won't leave any spoilers as to why.
This was an interesting peek into the disfunctional childhood of the author. As a mother I was horrified at some of the things the children had to endure, and as a former child I was a little envious of the freedoms they had. A decent quick read.
