Coming back to Sage Creek was like greeting an old friend. It was comfortable. I fell right into the story. I was excited when I found out this book was going to be about these characters, and couldn't wait to see how their story would unfold.

There was a lot that happened within this book, which is surprising given its length. I think it was close to being a bit too much, with some things getting a little lost, but the author managed to rein it in so it didn't become overwhelming. I actually would have liked to see more with the Suffragettes. They were introduced into the story, but hardly anything happened with them.

All of that is secondary to the romance. There was something so tender about this romance. It wasn't in your face or overly sweet, it was simply there. It felt right, casual almost, which fit these characters perfectly. Their relationship felt established from the very beginning.

I truly enjoyed getting to know these characters and see the struggles and challenges they had to overcome.

What I liked about the book was how fast-paced it was. It really threw you right in to the mystery and didn't let up. The story was simple, not overly complicated, unlike the mystery. This mystery keeps you guessing, even if you can figure out a few things early on. I can honestly say that I didn't have the killer figured out until the reveal.

The setting was done so well. I actually wish the story had been a touch longer just so we could explore the setting more. It had all the right creepy camp vibes, but only a little of it was explored. I felt like the story got wrapped up in the drama and action more than anything else. When it comes down to it, I don't feel like we truly got to know any of the characters either. We were given the basic, background information on them, and maybe one or two character defining moments. Now, the writing was good enough that when you are in the middle of the story you don't notice that as much, you are on the edge of your seat, worried about the characters, needing the answers to what is going on. I would say I was invested in the storyline, but when I finished it I wasn't even sure if I liked it or not. I really think it is because of the lack of depth to the characters.

So, while I believe this author is a good writer, I'm not sure if I would say I actually liked this story. I enjoyed the thrill of it in the moment, but I don't think the story is lasting. And, I don't know how I feel about the ending. It was all a little abrupt and show more unfinished. I felt like we could have heard more about the characters, anything really, to give us more of a glimpse at how the events of the book affected them.

If you are looking for a short and quick book that is fun and gives you camp slasher vibes, than I say this would be a good story for you. It reminds me a lot of The Island by Natasha Preston. Actually, it reminds me of a lot of great stories mashed together to make a mediocre story. Some people will love it, some will hate it, and I feel like I'm stuck between the two.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. I think the writing style is appealing, however, the story itself was kind of boring. The mystery didn't feel as neat as it should have considering it was a murder mystery. I wasn't too surprised by anything, there were a few twists that did make the story a little interesting, but there weren't enough to carry the whole book.

What I did like was the relationships. Throughout the story I was really interested in the way the main characters interacted with each other and the rest of the cast of the book. I really would have loved to see more of that. Especially the slight romance that was brought into things, there wasn't enough to make me really care about them.

The story itself is one that wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. I found it to be just okay. It was a decent story to spend my time with, but I probably won't remember much about it in a few days.

The book started out strong. It had a great concept behind it and I did really enjoy the story. However, it felt scattered at times. It was kind of all over the place, following too many perspectives and not making the narrator clear. It took a little bit before we finally figured out who was narrating the story. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, but I don't think it quite worked for the story. The characters didn't do anything to make me feel a connection to them. I honestly didn't care about what ended up happening to them. The different perspectives at the beginning didn't do enough to make any of them appeal to me. Especially since we ended up following one perspective more than the others. It just felt messy to me.
I feel like this book is just an okay story. There was nothing overly good about it, but it also wasn't bad in any way. It was just a story to entertain you for a little bit. I don't have strong feelings about it either way. It doesn't fit the genre stereotypes at all, the whole premise could have been leaned into to make a solid murder mystery set in a sci-fi world, but this story doesn't do either one justice.
This is the first book I have read from this author, but it didn't take long for me to see how well she can write. The suspense is done so well it makes you feel like you are in the story, feeling everything along with the character. The type of paranoia that was built felt real. I was drawn into the story immediately.

Now, there were quite a few twists and turns throughout the story, some of which were a little easy to guess. I had some things figured out from the very beginning of the book. I do think there were some little red herrings that didn't work as well as they should have to throw off you suspicions. They only served as a distraction for a short time, but you knew they wouldn't amount to much.

I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. I don't think it quite lives up to the rest of the book, but at the same time, I'm not angry about it. I think I'm just slightly disappointed and I don't know why.

I might check out some of the author's other work, because I liked the writing style so much. But, I don't think this will become a new favorite of mine.

For a novella, the story was well developed and really cute. I enjoyed the banter the characters had together. Enemies to lovers is by far my favorite trope. This one was done well. That being said, I did feel like the transition from enemies to lovers happened too fast. It became a little unbelievable. I also would have loved to see that relationship develop, instead it seemed to switch suddenly. I also would have liked to see the sassiness of the main character continue through to the end of the story. Once their relationship truly started it all kind of fizzled out. But, again, it was on the shorter side so there wasn't necessarily enough time to get everything in there.

I can overlook the little issues because the story was done well. The story was entertaining, it kept my attention and made me want to keep reading. I think I could really enjoy other books from this author and hope to get some more from them soon.

This one didn't start out the way I was expecting. At first I was really upset over the fact our main characters had broken up between the first book and this one. I slowly got over it though because I truly believed in their relationship. It wasn't the smoothest, though. I was annoyed by the female main character and some of the choices she had made.

Once the two characters were back and working together I fell right into the story and finished it in an afternoon. I couldn't put it down. There is a bit more of a mystery element to this one. I actually really enjoyed that and wish there had been a bit more buildup behind the reasoning for it.

I love the way this series is keeping me on my toes. I also like that each book isn't too long, but it still manages to feel like a complete story and keep my attention.

This story is quick to sweep you right into things. I loved the way we instantly got a sense of what the characters are like. It made it easier to care about what happened to them later in the story.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters. It wasn't overwhelming, but it felt comfortable and right. I actually would have loved seeing more of how their relationship developed.

The book was short, making it a quick and easy read. Because of that, I felt like the resolution was a little too fast. It was all wrapped up rather quickly, almost unbelievably so. I would have loved to see the tension drawn out just a bit more. But, I always seem to have this complaint with shorter books. It didn't keep me from enjoying the book, however.

I look forward to seeing where this series is going. It only took an hour or two to finish the book, and now I am left wanting more from these characters.

I received an ARC of this book via Bookfunnel, and I voluntarily left this honest review.
I really don't know how to review this book. My feelings and thoughts are all over the place. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't like it. I couldn't connect with the characters at all. None of them were likeable. They all were rather horrible and unrelatable. I didn't really want to read anything about them.

The story wasn't particularly interesting, probably because I didn't care for any of the characters. I also felt like they didn't have much development to some of them. However, that makes sense given the nature of the story. It was a little all over the place. The timeline had a ton of jumps. It was done in a unique way, that I didn't necessarily dislike. I think it shows us a bit more about the narrator with it written this way. But, I didn't feel that way until after I finished the book. During the story, it made it a little hard to follow what was going on. It was used to give some twists and surprises to the story. The result was that I found it hard to leave the story. I was stuck to it like it was a bad car crash. I couldn't look away. I had to know all the details even though I knew it wouldn't make me feel better about what happened.

Now, I am stuck here thinking about the story. Nothing about it was particularly bad. I actually like the unique way it was written. I'm left thinking about the story, which is arguably a good thing. Yet, even with all that, I didn't care for the story. I didn't get much enjoyment while reading it. It is only now in the aftermath show more while I think about the book that I start to see its interesting points. show less

I was amazed by how touching I found this story. I thought it was just going to be a cute love story set around Lunar New Year. I was wrong. There was so much more than just romantic love, there was familial love, platonic love between friends. It was all woven together in a beautiful story, rich with culture, that also touches on grief and strained family relationships. It was all well balanced, though. There was definitely enough comic relief (aka Grandma) that nothing ever got too heavy. I laughed out loud, teared up a little, smiled a lot. All of which are signs of a great story. I was thoroughly immersed in the book and was sad to see it end.

The author did a great job with the story and the illustrator really brought the story to life. I honestly think it was the best graphic novel I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Beautifully done, this is such a good way to start the year.
This was both really short and really cute. I instantly liked the characters together, they make such a cute couple. I wish we had actually seen more of them once they actually officially became a couple. The story kind of ends with them finally getting together. It was short, so I don't usually expect much from the story. It had a good plot line and was complete, I just would have loved more from it.

I don't know how I even came to find this book, but I'm glad I did. I hope to read more in this series and from this author.
I was really into the book at the beginning, but it lost me in the middle. It seemed like nothing was happening, but there was. The little details all come into play, so you have to be paying attention. You really have to get to the end to truly understand some things. But, getting there was a challenge for me.

The romance part of the story was good, at first, but as things progressed, it just didn't hit right. I didn't care for it or find it believable. I wanted to because of how I first felt about them, but it lost me in the middle of the book. That's where everything kind of fell apart and I almost stopped the book.

The world building could have used some work. I feel like we aren't told enough about anything. Again, I think some stuff is worked out toward the end of the story, but this book is honestly just building up for the next in the series. I still have questions about a lot of it. Perhaps those will be explained later, but I'm not sure if it will. We got the bare minimum needed to understand the story and nothing more. For that reason, the book felt shallow. I couldn't be drawn into it. There should have been so much to explore, but we weren't given any of it.

The build up for the next book is great. The story kept me curious about something that was only explained in the last chapter. It confirmed all of my suspicions about a character. Now one storyline makes complete sense. It really all came together right there at the end.

Would I recommend the book? Maybe, show more depends on what you like. It was decent, but it did have its problems and the middle got a little murky. But, it was still an interesting story. show less

The writing style and the way the book is structured isn't going to be for everyone. At first it comes across as a little clunky and disjointed, especially with the dual timeline and short chapters. However, getting this story in pieces like that, and having everything slowly revealed to us was masterfully done. The way it all wrapped up in the end, with the story so woven together was beautiful. The author truly showed a mastery at pacing, especially toward the end of the book. The pacing matched the story and kept everything moving along. I really didn't want to put the book down.

However, I think a lot of people won't connect with the style, which is a shame. I think the style worked well with this type of story. Changing it would have made it too heavy for what the book was trying to do. It could have gone that direction and still been a good book. There was actually a lot of different directions this book could have taken. I do think the artistry allows different parts of the book to speak to different people. The story might be seen as too dark for some, I think it could use a trigger warning for suicide, loneliness, depression. I personally didn't think it leaned into those topics too much, but I can see some people struggling with it. Also, the ending was subtle, which I did really like, but it isn't as positive and meaningful as it could be. I think that is something that might be needed in this case, but I understand why it wasn't done like that. I'm actually not show more sure which I would prefer.

The story itself was really good. There were layers to it, I actually want to reread it now knowing the whole story because different things are going to stand out. The symbolism you can find in little things throughout the story was great. It played into the foreshadowing. I don't think I can explain how expertly done this was.

I wanted to give this 5 stars, but I went with 4 because some things could have been done a bit better. I would have loved to lean in to the ideas and themes behind this book. A little bit more development to really bring the point home could have happened toward the end. I would have loved to experience more of the relationships. I honestly could have read more. This could have been double the amount of pages and I still would have read it and enjoyed it.

This isn't a genre I usually read, but the premise of the book sounded interesting enough for me to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the book. The writing, even though it did have its faults, drew me in and kept me interested. I think there were only a few moments when I thought it was written a bit poorly, it sounded a bit weird or lost my attention for a little bit. But, overall, it was pretty good.

The characters were interesting. Some of them I would have loved to see some more development. I especially would have liked to the relationship between the characters to have been shown more. It feels like there was a lot that was lost there to the main focus of the story, but having it would have strengthened the book as well.

The spooky part of it was mild. I think a bit more could have been added and still would have been okay for those who don't like anything too creepy. It had a decent balance there, so I'm not too upset by it.

I do think this is a series I will probably continue, even though it isn't something I normally like, but I'm interested in seeing where it goes. Yes, the book did end on a cliffhanger, but I would have continued regardless of that.
This is between a 2 and a 3 star read for me. With a little bit more work, this could be a book I really enjoy. But, at the moment, I am a bit disappointed with it. The storyline itself I liked. The book stuck strongly to the important things to move the story along, making it a quick read. I think I would have enjoyed a bit more action throughout to show the characters a bit more, and to aid the development of their relationship. I feel like the grumpy/sunshine expect was definitely there and done well.

My main issues have to do with the dialogue. At some points it felt too formal, especially in the context of the story, but other places it worked given the setting of the scene. Sometimes it didn't feel natural, or the way it was worded just didn't sound right. There were also a lot of exclamation points. Too many exclamation points. It threw off the story for me and messed with the way it sounded in my head.

A few scenes could have used a bit more development. It seems like there is an unnatural flow to things when we will suddenly shift to a different scene, or time. Some of the things skipped over I would have liked to read about, I think it could have helped to understand the characters a bit more.

I do think there was a lot here to work with, it might have been too much shoved into too few pages. Allowing the time for things to develop would have greatly benefitted the story. The ending wrapped up too quickly, too easily. I think if there had been a few more scenes show more where we saw the characters emotions a bit more it would have come together to make a great ending.

I'm mostly disappointed because this was so close to being a really good book. It seemed like it had the potential to be so much more, but then it kind of got shoved in to fit into this streamlined story that didn't branch off from its main plot. It felt a little forced, but sometimes a story like that is good for a little breather after a complex story.

Don't misunderstand me, I did enjoy reading this book, just not as much as I could have. I am actually really interested in reading more from this author, because the writing did keep me reading even though there were some things I wasn't fond of and that made the book lower stars for me.

It has a lot of similarities to Harry Potter, but it is missing the charm that came with Harry Potter. Harry Potter is such a classic, that it is hard for anything to compare to it, which is probably why I didn't care for this book. It didn't have that classic charm that HP has. Now, this book wasn't all bad. I thought it was actually an okay story. It just didn't keep my attention. I was bored throughout most of it, so much so that I just kind of skimmed over a lot of it. I do think this story could appeal to some people, particularly people who aren't happy with Harry Potter, or the author, but like the concept of a magic school.

I think I personally would have loved to see a bit more worldbuilding happening, it all seems like it was a bit to easy to create, like no thought went into it. That may not be the case, but that is how it came across in the book. I think some complexity would have helped the world itself. It wasn't one that I felt I could get lost in.

I do think the characters were done well, so that is probably what brought this book up to an okay read. Overall, there are good things and bad things about this book. I'm going to take the middle of the road. I will probably read the next book in the series to see if the worldbuilding changes a little bit.
I am surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It was a little hard for me to get into it, and I didn't care about the characters until about the half way point. I didn't care about the dual POV at first, but the ending of the book made it come together and showed how necessary it was. So, I'm not upset about it. I didn't care for some of the characters, they were a little difficult to get to know, but I feel like that worked for the story. It allowed us to take a step back and be objective about the situations and topics highlighted in this book.

I do think the topics could have been more prominent, but only slightly. Too much and the book wouldn't have been an enjoyable story. So, there is a pretty decent balance to it at the moment.

The book has a unique concept, I don't think I have read anything like it before. It came across as more of a curious exploration of the justice system. Yet, it didn't quite feel like it took sides, which I actually really liked. It just gave some questions, and different perspectives, to make you think about things and come to your own conclusion.

There were a lot of emotional things that had to be dealt with throughout the book. I think the look of grief was accurate, but I never thought it got too heavy while reading the book. It was sad, and some moments were a little bit hard to get through,

Now, there were some bits in the middle that caused me to lose interest in the story for a time. I also thought the description sounded a bit more show more dystopian than the book was. I actually think this could have been really good if it had strongly leaned into that. But, for what it is, it's okay. I enjoyed reading it, but I don't have any strong feelings about it. show less
I don't now how I feel about this story. The idea was cute, but I feel like I completely missed something. I didn't hate it, though. I feel like there may have been some symbolism in the story that I failed to understand. If there was nothing more meant by certain things, than it needed it. It's completely unclear to me. I feel like there should be something there, but it is lacking and should have been brought in more.

The book lacked development in certain areas. It told a story, but there was nothing there to make me feel connected to it. The worldbuilding could have used some work. There are a lot of unanswered questions. We never really got a good idea of the people and what their land is truly like. I would have loved to know more about them, then I would have actually cared what happened to them. But I didn't get that.

The characters lacked depth. I didn't feel their emotions. I didn't care about what they cared for. The soft love story didn't appeal to me because of it. I kept waiting for that moment that would tug on my heartstrings, but it never came. I cared about these characters as much as I would a random person on the street.

Is there potential here? Yes. It had a lot of good elements that were trying to do something, but it missed the mark. I really think this book was trying to be something it wasn't ready for. There could have been so much hidden meaning behind things, but it was shallow. It wasn't given enough time to mature and develop into something show more great. It all goes back to the story being developed more. The author has a good style, I just don't think that style worked with this story. I definitely think I would love a different book from this author, but this one just didn't do it for me.

I loved the concept of the story. Magical realism, small towns, both are great things I enjoy in my books. By all means this should have been a book I would like, but I just feel indifferent toward it. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good. The more I think about the story, the more I'm leaning toward the negative side of things. I wouldn't recommend the book, but I also wouldn't deter anyone from reading it.

The book drew me in and made me want to stay up all night reading. I didn't want to put it down. The way it was written made it so easy to get lost in its pages.

This is the first book I have read from either of these authors, but it won't be the last. This series is off to a good start, and I can't wait for the next book to come out.

My only complaints are that the story is a bit simple. I would have loved to see a bit more of the world. Also, the book is a little on the short side. Things happened quickly, but I would have loved to see more character development between the action points. I think I might just want more overall. I just enjoyed all of it and would have loved to have more of it.

For the most part this story is clean. There was some swearing, but it wasn't too much. I wasn't bothered by it.

I was not expecting to get so emotionally invested in this book. I knew I would more than likely love it because it's a Christmas book, but it still came as a surprise.

The book had all the Christmas vibes I love. It went beyond the North Pole and even reached the town it was mostly set it. I liked that we got to see both places and had the different views of what was going on.

The storyline came together nicely. There were a lot of elements to the story and none of them got lost amongst everything going on. They were also all necessary to the story. The story was complex without being overwhelming.

I think the best part actually had to be the characters. They were all written in such a way that I cared about their struggles. Except the guy Amara was "dating" I don't care about him. I was frustrated with her for even being with him. She should have dumped him before the book even began. But, I guess that was a major part of the story, and I wasn't supposed to like him anyway, so it's okay. I will look past that because Jack and Amara were so cute together.

I really enjoyed the writing style. The author managed to have serious moments, but there was a lot of humor mixed in. Reading the book was relaxing, I would seek out more from the author based on this one.

Everything about this book hits the spot. There are Christmas themes throughout that just put me in the Christmas spirit. The romance was adorable. The social anxiety representation. I loved every second of the book. I don't think I can stress how much enjoyment I got from this story. I couldn't help the smile it kept on my face.
Was it perfect? Perhaps not. There could have been a few changes that would have made the book have more meaning, a bit more of an emotional impact. But, for a lighthearted fluffy read that still has some more serious elements, it does remarkably well. There was a good balance of heavier emotions that allowed the more lighthearted moments to shine.
I think my one major complaint about the book would be that I wished there were more moments to show family dynamics. I wanted to see a bit more of that throughout the book. The beginning started strong with them, then they started to fizzle out, before ending with family moments. The middle could have used a bit more.
One thing I really noticed was how the social anxiety was real, but as a reader I still had the perspective where I could see humor in those moments. I did experience secondhand embarrassment at times. I think the author showcased it truthfully, and handled it well. It actually added to the story and had a major part to play, instead of being used flippantly to make the character quirky or to bring humor to the story. It was showcased. The struggle those with social anxiety feel was shown, show more while still having a good perspective of it.
The expectations I have for Christmas books was met. I want all of the things, tree decorating, cookies, snowmen, family traditions, etc. This book gave me all of that. It was clearly a Christmas book.
I have rambled enough, I don't think there is anything else I could possibly put into words about how much I liked the book. This is the first I have read from the author, but I have already looked at some other books that I plan to read soon.

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.
I feel bad about this review, I really do. But I also don't want to rate it and leave it with no explanation. I just can't in good conscience rate this any higher than 1 star. I almost didn't finish it, because I wasn't enjoying it at all. At first I thought I might have just hated the writing style, which it very well might be, but then there were other things I noticed that just didn't sit right with me.

The way this is written, it seems more like the characters are looking back and telling their story. I felt so removed from the story that I couldn't get into it at all. Then it would try to jump you into the moment, and it just didn't work. Since it seemed like them telling the story, there were a lot of moments when there were large time jumps and nothing really bridged those gaps. There would be a scene, and then there would be something that happened later that evening. I can't stand things like that in books. It doesn't flow right and feels jarring.

Also with how it was written, I think it would be better to listen to the book. The dialogue came across as awkward and formal, until I read it out loud and was able to give it a bit of tone and emphasis certain words. Dramatizing the story like that made it sound really good for the most part. There were a few points that the writing was a little weird, but that happens in every book. Unfortunately, reading the book I didn't feel any emotion whatsoever. I couldn't be drawn in and relate to the characters at all because show more of how it was written.

The characters were okay. I do feel like their reactions were a bit over dramatic. I never got a good sense of anything because they were a bit wishy-washy. I didn't see their relationship develop because everything happened suddenly throughout the story. I think that had to do with how much was within this small amount of pages. A lot of the story could have been developed more and it would have come across a bit better. It all happened too fast to be believable. However, some of those situations and drama points were really good and would have worked well spread over a 300 page novel. I would have liked to see a bit more foreshadowing. One thing I love in books is foreshadowing, and there was very minimal of it in this story. I felt like a lot of things were mentioned when it was necessary for the understanding of the story. Only a few things were built up, and those things were some of the things I liked.

This kind of has an enemies-to-lovers type of romance to it. I think the enemies part was done well... maybe too well? I couldn't stand Bryan. It was to the point that I didn't want them to end up together. It doesn't seem like the negative things were dealt with at all. The romance wasn't believable. I truly lost respect for Lily because she just kind of brushed over everything and decided he couldn't be a bad guy because he does something good. No. Just...no. This girl has been through so much, too much. I don't think with the trauma she has that she should end up with a guy like him. I hated everything about their relationship.

Everything could have used more development. The ending felt rushed and far too easy. The tense moments that should have been drawn out to get more emotion in there were too short. I didn't get any strong emotion from the story at all, probably because I felt so removed from it, but that emotion was needed to make most of the story matter. I didn't understand their emotions much when they did show some, they just didn't make sense to me. It seemed like they would blow up over the littlest thing. They emotion just didn't seem natural at all. It was more of a meaningless reaction, rather than an expression of built up emotions. The storyline would have had more impact had there been more emotion behind things. The reader needed to be reading and feel what the characters were feeling, but that gap was never bridged.

I really feel bad because the bones for a good story were present, but I felt like it just didn't deliver. I want the best for this book and the author who took the time to write it. I do think there is potential here. Perhaps I didn't like it due to the style of writing. It might not be my cup of tea.

I am actually disappointed by how much I didn't like this. It is the genre of book I usually love. The cover is adorable. It looks like it would be right up my alley. But it wasn't. I don't know if I will be able to give the author a second chance. I don't know if that would even be fair. I certainly hope it was just this book I had issue with. But it might very well be that this author just isn't one I can read. I do think there is potential for audiobooks, as long as there are fewer time jumps throughout the story.

As with anything, certain skills will develop with time. I think this author has potential if she works on her craft a bit more. Like I mentioned, there was a lot of good storylines. The plot of the book was good, there was a lot going on, providing enough to keep the story going. Leaning into some of those subplots, such as the ex-husband and the epidemic, could have easily made this Romantic Suspense. So, there is a lot to play with here.

The book is short, but it is a complete story, there isn't a cliffhanger. There was no sex. Minimal language, and it was used in an understandable way, when it was warranted, not thrown in just for the fun of it.

My favorite of the whole series! We finally got into all the mystery behind the series, which I was hoping to see more of throughout the series, but this book did a great job of bringing it all together.

The book kept me reading, I was on edge waiting to see what was going to happen. The whole book managed to keep me engaged. It was intense, but was never heavy. There was some romance mixed in, but it was light and didn't take away from the suspenseful side of the story.

Everything was wrapped up well. I'm really happy with how everything worked out. I loved the family dynamics, I think their bond really stood out in this book and added to the overall story.

It's hard to review this book because my thoughts conflict about it. There was drama throughout the book, but it still felt like nothing was happening. I think this might be due to not liking the characters. There were only a few moments during the whole book when I actually liked them. I think that's why I didn't care for the book. Their personalities annoyed me. The all seemed selfish, even during the moments when they were supposed to be selfless. The drama also wasn't compelling.

By the time I got to the end, I was just waiting for the story to wrap up. I also felt like it was all dealt with too easily. Like suddenly everything is all right, and there is nothing to worry about. It just doesn't sit right with me.

Even with all of that, I still thought the book was okay. There was a lot of language, which I didn't care for, however, I do think it fit the characters personalities to speak like that. It just made up a lot of the book. Am I glad I read it? Not really. Am I angry I spent time reading it? Also no. I really don't know if the good outweigh the bad. I guess if the book sounds like your thing, I would recommend giving it a try. However, if you aren't sure if you would like it or not, I would recommend skipping it.

I don't feel a need to check out any other books from this author. The way this one was written I enjoyed, but the content of the book and how certain things worked out, just didn't work for me.

The Love Script is such a cute Christian Romance. I really liked the fact that the Christian themes were done well throughout the whole book. It referenced Scripture, but it never felt preachy. Everything came about naturally, and was never forced, which is something I find off-putting in a lot of Christian books. This one was never like that. It made this feel like a relaxing, Christian book.

The romance was so cute. I loved the characters from the first moment I met them. They were so easy to read about and all of the things they struggled with throughout the book were handled true to character.

I don't have anything bad to say about this book. Except, maybe that it was too short! I got to the end and I wanted to keep going. I was enjoying the book so much, I'm disappointed that it ended.

I highly recommend the story. I have the ebook copy, but I actually plan on buying the book because of how much I enjoyed it.

This isn't my usual genre, but I decided to give this one a chance. I found that the story was written in such a way, that it didn't seem quite like a usual Historical Romance, it was easy to read. I flowed right through the book and stayed engaged with the story. However, I didn't really connect with the characters. I thought their personalities were great, I really liked seeing so many different characters that are each their own distinct person. I just didn't connect emotionally with them. Because of that, I found I didn't care as much as I should have toward the end of the book. It was a good story, I was really surprised by how much I liked it. I will even go chech out the other books in the series since this was the first one I have read.

There were a lot of sweet moments, but there was also a little bit of action. I liked that there was a bit of high stakes toward the end, I would have loved to have a bit more of that.

A continuation from the last book, this one builds up the suspense. There are threads of something more going on that is always there making you suspicious of characters and their motives.

There was a moment right before the middle of the story where my attention was lost. It just didn't seem to keep me in the story. However, once I got through that section, things got really good and kept me on the edge of my seat.

I would probably give this 4.5 stars since I did have that moment, but it was so close to being 5 stars. The cliffhanger at the end makes me want to jump right into the next book!

Like with all collection of stories, I liked some and didn't care for others. Towards the end I started enjoying some of the stories more. There were a few really good ones, but the ones at the beginning I didn't like, and they made me not want to continue with the book. Once I got over them, I really breezed through the rest of them. They do a great job of feeling like fairytales. There was something classic about the way they were written.

I wanted to like this book. I thought the concept was great and it had great potential. However, almost immediately I hated the characters. It took a while, but a few of them started to grow on me. I never got the connection to them that I wanted, probably because I didn't immediately like them. I also didn't think their relationship was developed correctly. It just didn't sit right with me.

There were a few cute moments, particularly toward the end of the book. But, I had to force myself to keep going when I wanted to DNF. I am glad I finished it, just so I can say I gave it a fair chance. The best parts of the book were in the last 20%. Those don't make up for the rest of the book, though.

I did like the family interaction. I think the family is one of my favorite parts of the book. It was strong and really showed the culture. I enjoyed seeing that.

I think this author has potential to write a really good story, but this one just didn't work for me. The main characters and their actions got on my nerves, and didn't get better until the very end.
I don't think I have ever read something with this type of concept in a YA book. I like that it's being brought in more and more. Sci-fi is not usually a genre I read, but I took a chance on this book. I'm glad I did because I found the book to be interesting and thought-provoking.

There was something that left me not completely satisfied with the book. I can't tell if it was the ending, or something within the story itself. It does leave some questions unanswered. But, I guess at the same time that is to be expected.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. It's one that does stick with you after you finish reading it. I may even come back and read it again. It definitely is enjoyable, I would recommend it to some one interested in Sci-fi like this. It does have quite a bit of language in it, so that is something to be aware of if you aren't okay with it in the books you read.
