The narrative is a rich tapestry of memories, anecdotes, and reflections that paint a vivid picture of Bob Marley's journey from his humble beginnings in rural Jamaica to his rise as an international superstar. Cedella Marley Booker's voice is authentic and compelling, providing readers with a unique insight into the man behind the music. Her love and pride for her son shine through in every chapter, making the book not just a biography, but a tribute to a remarkable life.
One of the strengths of this memoir is its focus on Bob Marley's roots and the cultural context that shaped him. Booker takes readers back to the rural village of Nine Mile, where Bob was born, and describes the challenges and triumphs of raising a son with an extraordinary destiny. Her descriptions of their early life are vivid and evocative, bringing to life the landscape and the people who played a crucial role in Bob's upbringing.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This book is a non-stop page turner. I just could not put down. After trying for three years to get a baby, Maria and her husband suddenly discover baby Mateo floating in a flat boat two days after hurricane struck their New Orleans hometown. The shocker, even though tests showed that Maria has never given birth to a child of her own, Mateo turns out to be their biological son and instantly became known worldwide as the "miracle baby". Life is now turned upside down as they raced against unknown assassin from within the Catholic Church to protect baby Mateo from those who want him dead.
A thrilling novel, from start to finish and a must read for those who love a good mystery especially one that captures the mysteries and intrigues of the Catholic Church.

This is a powerful book that seeks to help Christians break free of strongholds that they were not even aware had been gripping their lives even though they have been free in Christ Jesus. I would recommend this book to any Christian who have perplexing questions as to why they may be unable to advance into the 'joy of the Lord'. Read this book today and break those chains of strongholds that are holding you back from your God given destiny.

Though written years ago in 1910 to be exact, the message is still vibrant and fresh today and the principles can be adapted for today's life style. Wallace D. Wattles is basically saying that the real power and science of getting rich lies within everyone of us, we just need instructions or guidance how to use it to benefit us in our daily lives.

I have never been to Savannah but author John Berendt took me there with his captivating story of the life of the people of Savannah. An exciting work of non-fiction, the reader is made to feel that they too shares in the story and as the author moves from place to place and character to character the story comes alive with a sharp clarity that keeps you reading to the last page.

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. One of those books that you can't put down the minute you begin to read because you're wondering just how the story will end. Goree brings together 3 cultures and shows how the past can be intertwined with the present and lead to confrontation as well as forgiveness and love.
One of those books of collected stories that I just could not put down. Maya Angelou has always been one of my favourite authours and I love her way with words. Some of her stories makes you take a pause and stop and think about life and some you can actually identify yourself with snippets of what is being told and the lesson learned.

As someone who has a physical disability and had the chance to go to college fresh out of high school, but declined; this book is God send. It has given me the courage that I need to go back to school better prepared for what I have to face and also give me the tools necessary for preparing to face college life.
Truly an invaluable source of information that I would recommend to any parents and student who are fearing the daunting task of preparing for college life with physical disability. There is hope out there!

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.Awesome book for anyone who is an expat and coming to Bermuda. Tells you how to deal with everything from the ants to locals and lots of good laughs inbetween
A very fast-paced book and hard ot put down, can't wait to read the other books in the sequel.
There are a few typos however, on page 202: the first sentence reads "what do with everything" instead of "what TO do with everything"
On page 256, the last sentence on the page reads ok, but maybe it should have been "that anybody could come to meet me today"
Just my reviews, but ti does not take away from the great reading.

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. What a book, I just could not put it down after the first two chapters. This book is for those who like a real suspense, drama, thriller story and do not want to know how the story end until they have gotten to the end of the book.
Awesome book, had me hooked from the first page and was hard for me to put down. I just love how the story built up into a climax. However, i do admit that I suspected after a few pages into the book that the children were guilty.
