I liked the setting, technology and how time works in this book. The story? I didn't really vibe with it. This book wasn't really a page turner for me. Not a bad read and was not easy to know what's going until the end.
This was a bit tough for me to read because of the writing style. I didn't find this book scary but I definitely did feel a little on edge sometimes. It was an interesting read for me since I've never read anything in this writing style but I liked the ending a lot. Elk don't seem scary to me but maybe it's because I haven't been exposed to many Native American stories.

Overall a good read but the writing style is not going to be for everyone. I might check out more of the author's works since the writing style did interest me but was pretty tough for me to know what was going on sometimes.
Earth is boring.

These strange creatures are much more friendlier and interesting. Jokes aside, this is a great comic book and worth the price. If you like humor like dad jokes, you will like this book.
I didn't think I would like this book but I loved it. I love the old man out of touch parts of the book. Ove is a much older person than me but even I felt connected sometimes lol. I thought the ending of the book was a good way to end the story and overall story was good.

I definitely well check out Backman's other works.
English has lots of words

Not a bad book. Not really a book for an older audience but worth a read. If you have kids that like to read, they will probably like this book. Might get them to learn about language.
Candy is dangerous

If you like fiction, humor and candy, this will be a decent read for you. I thought it was good read with lots of puns and word play.
I thought it was a decent read. Ending I thought was a bit weak but I understand what Tremblay was going for. The books builds up a lot and has some pretty memorable parts but in the end it feels kind of pointless.

Not saying ending is the worst ever but I think Tremblay could've shown more of an impact on the world then just the main characters.

Overall, I thought it was a decent read. Not amazing but not terrible.
I almost didn't finish this book because of of how the author likes to brag about himself in the beginning parts. The parts about the crimes and cases were interesting to read. The stuff about the author? Yeah, it was kind of obnoxious.

The parts of the book about the crimes were the only reason I'm giving this a high rating.
Very different than The Shining. I really liked how Stephen went in on the lore of the shining. Villains were pretty creepy and weird. RVs being creepy too. I didn't think this was actually horror but more like a drama with supernatural elements and a hint of horror. I liked Dan and Abra a lot too. I found the Shining to be a much better read but this is definitely an entertaining book.

The Shining is King in an addicted phase and Doctor Sleep is more like a recovery phase. That's how I'll describe the book.

Overall 4/5 stars. You know, I think this could be a cool series. The Shining(the power or ability) is a cool concept and can probably be used for many stories in many settings.
