The Delirium trilogy is one of my favorite book series and Lauren Oliver has shaped the way I read and write. When compared to the earlier books, Requiem has more action, adventure and romance, and is probably my favorite book of the three - as it shows not only the progress that the resistance is making but is showcasing the effects of amor deliria nervosa through Lena and her love triangle.

But I agree, with almost all of the reviews here.. the ending wasn't great. The poetic conclusion leaves you with a sense of action - as you feel you have to step forward and, as quoted in the book, 'Take down the walls', but I am left with many unanswered questions.

Does the resistance eventually takeover? What does Tack do now that Raven is gone? What happens to Julian, who was patient and loving towards Lena even when she was fighting with her feelings of love towards both Alex and Julian? Does Hana reunite with Lena, or lead the cured life she wanted? Does Grace see a world of freedom and love, or is all the work to break the walls a failure?

It almost feels like stopping a movie halfway through the last five minutes. We find out more about the characters and their journey in the four short stories from 'Delirum Stories', but isn't the kind of resolution I feel we all needed. I would've loved to see an epilogue to answer the questions of live after the resistance, but these questions will forever be unanswered.

I still love the Delirium trilogy, and will forever love it - but I show more guess I'll have to make up my own ending for the characters, for now. show less
