It was a quick read but it lacked substance. All the characters were unlikable and the "twist" was the most predictable I've encountered in a long time.
This book was excellent, the first in a long time that completely got me with the twist! Looking forward to more from this author, fabulous debut!
Such a beautiful story about just being human, life, and relationships with other people.I love the different points of view in the narration and the connection with each of the characters and their lives. Wonderful.
This book had a very slow start for me, for some reason I kept reading and I'm glad I did bc the story picked up nicely in the last 3rd and made up for the difficult beginning.
It was more a commentary on societal sexism than a vampire romp, but it was still good. I was just hoping for more Buffy with a Southern feel than there was.
Solid, quick read but nothing particularly enthralling. There was a twist but it was fairly lackluster. It would be a good beach read.
** spoiler alert ** Meh. It wasn't scary or jarring like if I hoped. And it was a slog. The mushroom fungus thing was odd and gross not so much frightening.
