A good story, but a little dry. Maybe that's because it was more of a documentary. It was also a little scattered in the plot. I had a little difficulty keeping track of what was going on, since the story line goes back and forth from long ago to the present.
Another favorite! I liked the book very much, but didn't really care for the movie. Maybe that's because I don't like Tom Cruise that well.
This one was one of my favorite Grisham books!! I read it before I saw the movie, and I'm glad for that. The book definitely made the movie come to life for me. I also thought the characters in the movie were very true to the book characters, and I couldn't have done a better job of casting the characters myself! Susan Serandon was outstanding in the movie version.
I read it, but it didn't set well with me. Since I lean more toward the death penalty, it set me on edge knowing the book had a decidedly anti-death penalty slant. I'd prefer Mr. Grisham leave his personal ideas and beliefs out of his stories. Seemed to be a little politically motivated.
I'v ejust started reading this one. So far, I like the fact that the author opens his book with the idea he's a skeptic, and, as the book unfolds, he is showing how his initial ideas about evolution are being debunked. It's also showing how many of his ideas about the exclusiveness of science and Creationism are incorrect and illogical. When I'm finished, I'm sure I'll have more to say.
I really liked this one. Not a favorite Grisham tale, but very enjoyable.
Not bad. It was a little weird in some spots, but overall, pretty good. Probably not my favorite, but it held my interest.
I didn't really like this book. Although I have read practically everything Grisham has written, I didn't consider this to be one of his best works. Not all that enjoyable.
