It's very sweet to have a book read like it is actually listening to a child's heart. There is a sequel coming! I think this would be an excellent book for a grieving child or any child going through a difficult time.
Surprisingly yummy! This novel is realistic and complex. Elsie, Beryl, Gail, and the families are well-developed and relatable with a historical storyline for each future. Those who devour Americana novels will adore ELSIE FINCH's subtleties, especially when the story turns into a contemporary suspense novel at the 5/8ths mark. A unique and very satisfying novel! I couldn't put it down.
