What's a rooster to do when it gets caught stealing sunflower seeds for breakfast? Roo-wallaby thinks she's the new sheriff in town, so roo-rooster tries to find a defense in other animals, but they all seem to be related as cousins in the marsupial family. Is there a creative way out of this mess? Loved it! With science and geography on its side, Roo's Fine Flapping Day can be made into a fun classroom introduction to all things "Down Under".
Back to School, this urban picture book explains why it may be heavy for Meggi Beth to carry her story around all by herself, and it reminds adults and children alike to sit and listen, especially if you have a torn stocking and a cute dog. It's very sweet to have a book read like it is actually listening to a child's heart. There is a sequel coming! I think this would be an excellent book for a grieving child or any child going through a difficult time.
Surprisingly yummy! This novel is realistic and complex. Elsie, Beryl, Gail, and the families are well-developed and relatable with a historical storyline for each future. Those who devour Americana novels will adore ELSIE FINCH's subtleties, especially when the story turns into a contemporary suspense novel at the 5/8ths mark. A unique and very satisfying novel! I couldn't put it down.

Darling introduces herself to the strange animal who is Miss Fox. Miss Fox gives her gifts so that Darling is distracted from her mission. The two animals look for things to do together in fantastical attempts to be friendly. When Darling enters Miss Fox's kitchen, she realizes that by nature, not all strangers are good for you. Will Darling save the day when it's already dinner time?

Darling Hedgehog learns about the animal nature of things in high humor and carefree, cute, and winning episodes. Learn about opposites, homophones, and similes as two animals in nature roll into fantasy land. For children 4-8 or preschool and kindergarten, as a read-to-me picture book, and first grade and second grade as a chapter book.

Pictures similar to Charlotte's Web and the Mercy Watson series are characterized and painted in full-color, though the pages are set up like a chapter book.

This book helps to train children in natural wisdom, analysis, and discernment. It helps to balance the teachings of acceptance of everyone and friendliness to all. There may be good purposes for everyone to exist under heaven, show more yet all purposes may not be good for a child. So, beware, and flee from crafty foxes especially when they are holding your parents in the pantry. show less
BOOK ONE IN THE LAND OF TWILIGHT TRILOGY

Sam and Lorna’s bike challenge becomes far more than a neighborhood race in this action-adventure fantasy for intermediate grades.

Riding over a cairn at sunset, Lorna surfaces in Twilight, where she is given three impossible tasks to complete before her heart's desire is granted.

Story Line: Avid sixth-grade mountain biker, Lorna Wilson, moves to Crestwood, Arizona, after her parents' divorce. Unpacking, Lorna seeks a way to fit into the new crowd when a girl named Ally knocks on her front door.

Splashing in the pool at Ally’s house, Lorna learns about the bike challenge created by a scar-faced neighborhood legend, Samuel Black. She hears herself boasting that she can take on Samuel Black in his own race and win. Lorna's words quickly come back to bite her.

Although none of the kids will root for the new girl, an ancient cairn opens to the Land of Twilight giving Lorna an opportunity to win anything her heart desires.
