Yes! Soldier is a worthy addition to the Millers Kill series. It's thought-provoking, timely and the characters continue to grow with the events they weather. By I'm already on a count-down for the next book! If I were a first-time Spencer-Fleming reader, I'd buy a copy of this newest book, but I'd go back and read the books, in order, leading up to it. In fact, as a long-time reader, I may do that, just for the joy of it.
