I was very impressed. It was a great read with great characters and a suspensful mystery that I truly enjoyed. I am forced to read some of his other books.

This book was nothing less than the nitty gritty of the squaller, poverty and hatred found in Cape Tow, South Africa. It reminded me of the 40's film noir crime movies. I requested copies for two friends and will recommend this author to others.

A book well worth reading for mystery lovers. The book races through NYC in a well developing story. Not only was it a good read but it was a fuin read. It was well put together and captured my interest quickly.

This book reminded me of my time in the British Isles. The stories description of the weather, country side and crowded cities and streets were fun to recall. I enjoyed the authors character development, interaction and growth. I had not read a British mystery sine Sherlock Holmes and found this story development polie work and surprise ending made this story captivating. I will find other of her books in this series.

I do love a mystery. This book by Mr gross had all the elements to make it a good read and difficult to put aside. It contained suspense, intrigue and an exciting story line. I will definitely recommend it to my friends. [I apologize for this delay with my review]

I was truly impressed. I found this book to be an action/adventure with clear historical content, mystery and just plain good reading. At 72 I am far from a young reader but this book was great. I will watch for another Jack Christie book. I am sending this book to one of my teen grandchildren for their opinion The historical background information at the end of the book was a great teaching tool and interesting.

Three thumbs up. A really great read. A mystery, thriller and romantic story all mixed into one excellent story. I must add that I have read other Patterson books before but I enjoyed this one the most. Thanks.

Old stuff from Rich. Just a rehash but worth reading if new to anyone. Can be helpful if applied. I did and they wok.

I truly enjoyed this book. It is fast paced, intriguing and action filled. I will look for his other book, re:Berlin.

Surprised, wow quick ead

I received this book in the late afternoon. I was in the middle of a great Dan Brown book, decided to read a couple of pages of "Afraid". After only two pages I was hooked and could not put it down. I finished it the next afternoon. If you enjoy horrific and fast books this is for you. It will not let you go with it's fast paced action and adventure. It is definitely a "MUST READ".

This book will end up on the New York Times best seller list. It compares with any and all the thrillers I have written. I did have a hard time putting it down. Highly recommended to fiction readers.
