This novel had brought up a multitude of issues such as changing ones self for someone else and unconventional family situation. Personally I relate to both of these topics to some degree and I love how the authors represented imperfection. Although Cameron was portrayed as a horrible character, her attempts to "tame" herself, although initially not for the best reason, was beautiful character development and the new, true relationships she had achieved because of it was admirable. I loved how Megan and Owen - from Always Never Yours - had a cameos in the last chapter.
I found this contemporary romance to be completely relatable in the themes of relationships and families and struggles a person has to go through daily. I loved the representation of muscular dystrophy and I especially loved how despite everything her disability but her through, Maeve still has dreams of possibilities for her future, no matter how short. I must say though, I do love that depression is represented, it is also very common for people to hide their true feelings and still have the same outcome. Overall, this book was one of my favorite contemporaries I've read.
