Laurie Ann March has created an absolutely fantastic resource for preparing your own vegetarian and/or vegan dehydrated meals for backpacking. Her instructions are clear and concise, and the recipes sound delicious. Five stars!
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. We had to suspend our disbelief in the Law of Attraction to fully engage with "Make Love to the Universe", but once that was accomplished Phoenix Desmond was able to lead us on an amazing spiritual journey. His poetic style enabled us to follow his entreaty to "abondon notions of indivi-duality and take their (our) rightful place as participants." Only during direct spiritual instructions is the inclusive 'we' dropped in favor of 'you', but even then "This refers to humanity in general, rather than you as an individual. When we offer suggestions, know that we come from a place of love and equality." Traipsing through the Himalayas, often barefoot, always with the most meager belongings, our needs are always met by the grace of the universe. Along our way, we encounter many energy forms, each with a life lesson to share. Those who seek will already be familiar with the tenets of this story, but the unique device of placing oneself within the story allows the lessons to be felt on a very fundamental level. The physical book itself is a joy to read, the paper is pleasantly soft and non-glare, the cover protective yet flexible. Thank you, Early Reviewers, for a wonderful experience!
