I have recently viewed Greg Derrett's "Great dog... Shame on the handler" DVD and thought I'd give everyone a quick synopsis. Using only 4-6 jumps, Greg demonstrates fluid and consistent control of his older more experienced dog and also his young rookie dog through a series of simple to more advanced maneuvers. He breaks each maneuver down and shows the differences and additional reinforcement a young dog might need versus the veteran. He discusses the position of handler and the commands made to generate the best performance and improve the degree of success. I highly recommend this for beginners to masters. --- John K.
It is a great DVD especially for novice handlers like myself. I've heard the phrase "when the dog commits to a jump" but it was nice to actually see that moment and how different dogs have different moments of commitment. I need to go back and look at his earlier DVDs -- Jack
