A good story overall. It really shows the effects of a catastrophic event from the POV of someone (Miranda) who's actually living it. It seems all to often the story is told by some top secret agent, or someone who's going to go out and save the world. This isn't one of those times. It's just the day to day struggles, trials, turbulations, and accomplishments of a family living through the worst event in history. It's a great change of pace and a pretty easy read that keeps the pages turning at a good pace.
