Buenísimo! Una historia muy original que toca muchos temas diferentes.
Brilliant discussion of the extreme left in Europe in the later 20th Century, presented as a novel.
Beautifully written and truly unique.
Hard to put down. A Canadian Bourne Identity, complete with Parliament, official languages, oil sands, Newfoundlanders, First Nations and even a deadly chase on skates! The only thing missing was beaver tails. Great take on the relationship between the press and politics.
This is a great read if you can get hold of it. It brings a fascinating history to life. Not often is a history book also a page-turner.
A transfixing read. Very well written, combining the author's personal experience with an interesting theory.
But, of course, it's complete malarkey.
Archaeologists pour over the slightest details of ancient burial sites, yet we're expected to believe that great hulking sunken Chinese junks are distributed around the world's coastlines and no one is digging them up!
Real historians are limited in their abilities to write ripping yarns by the need to rely on rigorous research and to avoid conjecture.

A unique story with engaging characters, set against the backdrop of a key moment in Canadian and First Nations history, which is artfully woven into the narrative.
An extraordinary work about how the European discovery of the New World changed the planer. Fascinating detail. Very well written and engaging. Presents ideas in a unique way.
