A very quick read but heartwrenching! The boy was the only honorable character in the book. The mother to weak, the father distainful, the sister to self absorbed (as many teenagers are), and the guard, hard explain.
An excellent book! Gives a great view from the Germans side of WWII. Absolutely loved Liesel. I will not forget her soon, or her story!
I did start to read this book a while ago and put it down, to strange. Then I realized that the narrator of the book was "Death". It made way more sense knowing this piece of information.
Little hard to get into at first with all the unusual names, but quickly becomes intriguing. Great read.
