This photo album contains images, artist statements and descriptions of 38 contemporary quilts designed by talented and dedicated quilters primarily from the Washington D.C. area for donation to a local hospital. It was compiled to commemorate Judith House and her Healing Quilts project for Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Her work has been recognized at local and nationwide quilt shows. The quilts presented are extraordinary both on an artistic level and in their evocation of surviving cancer.
