Saving Zasha
By Randi Barrow
Review by Gabriela Molloy

The book Saving Zasha by Randi Barrow is mostly about a boy named Mikhail & his family find a dying man and his German shepard dog. This book is taking place when the Germans and the Russians do not get along. Mikhail and his family are Russians but they decide to keep the German dog when the man/ owner dies. They keep Zasha in there house/ hiding all times because they think the Russians will kill her just like they did with all of the other dogs. Mikhail builds a strong relationship with Zasha.
I think this book is great to read because it’s a real touching story for all who have a “man’s bestfriend.” If you like reading stories that are history/ animal loving, then this is definitely the book for you! The passion Mikhail shows for Zasha is so admiring. But also all the intense and crazy things that happen make this book even better! And I’m sure many people can relate to it. When you read this book, you wouldn’t want it to end. That is how good the book is! I love this book.
