I fell in love with this series as soon as I cracked the spine of the first book, Hush, Hush. I've read it several times, and each time is like a new experience. The series had the most beautiful and unexpected ending. I would recommend this book to anybody that is prepared to fall in love and have their heart broken over and over and over again. It does have that fantasy/romance thing, but you haven't a clue of how perfect this book is. If you haven't read it, I promise you'll love it.
I did not enjoy this book as much as the first two. I never really got into it, and the plot just didn't do anything for me. The ending did shock me, though I respect what Veronica Roth did. Honestly, I was hoping it would end the way it did. Tris learned so many lessons throughout the trilogy, and the ending corresponds to that. It was still a good book; it just didn't quite meet expectations.

Once again, Veronica Roth has outdone herself. She has turned the world of Divergent into an even more intense and epic story that leaves you screaming, "SHE DID NOT JUST DO THAT! NO NO NO! I NEED BOOK THREE NOW!" The one negative review I have is about Four. Throughout Divergent, Four was mysterious and intriguing. I wanted to skip through to every part that included him. During Insurgent, Roth dove into Four's story. It wasn't necessarily bad, it was just a change I wasn't expecting. On top of that, Tris seemed too obsessed with Four. It's understandable, I just thought it was a bit silly.
Veronica Roth throws you into a world filled with assessment, conformity, and fear. You cannot deny how perfect Tris (the main character) is. She isn't some hero with these insane skills that is ready to save the world; she is an average girl trying to slip by authority so that she can go unnoticed. She learns to become a fighter, but that doesn't mean she stops being real. She puts her brave face on, but she is still vulnerable, afraid, and in love. On top of her, you have other characters contributing to the story, but also a fantastic plot. It's hard to create an entire world just off of your imagination, but Veronica Roth goes above and beyond in doing so.
This book...Where to start? I guess I'll begin by saying this book will have you crying for hours. It took me about two hours to read fifty pages because every few seconds I had to wipe the tears from my eyes, as my vision would get too blurry to see. John Green is a very gifted writer, and I can't wait to read some of his other books. The way he makes the words fit perfectly on the page is exquisite. Not only is the plot outstanding, but the characters are excellent. They are relatable, but they also give you a glimpse at life from different perspectives. To sum up The Fault in Our Stars, I say: Beautifully heartbreaking.
