I won this audio on LibraryThing and thank you! Gael is at a crossroads in his senior year in high school. Confronted with family, girlfriend, friend problems "Love" (the narrator) decides to intervene. This was read by Amanda Leigh Cobb, who did a very good job with all the voices and it was a pleasure to listen to her. This optimistic story will appeal to 8th grade and up.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I won this Recorded Books CD on LibraryThing. Thank you very much! This story is geared towards teens with a bit of a woo-woo bent (hint: they see dead people). Four friends bound together by deaths of loved ones accidentally stumble onto something that leaves them mystified. They investigate and discover a lot about themselves and the world around them when they do. The narrator of this, Sandy Rustin, did a great job with the teen voices and emotions! Recommend to high school and public library collections.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I listened to this book on CD compliments of the publisher and LibraryThing Early Reviewers. I enjoyed this book a lot. I love Southern novels, coming of age books, and small town life books. This one hit all three. It made driving around quite enjoyable for several weeks!
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I won this book through the Early Reviewers compliments of Penguin Random House. This was a delightful, short, one-sitting read about the price of happiness. The narrator is a happy slacker who just goes through life, until one day he gets an invoice for a huge amount of money that he supposedly owes, but definitely cannot pay. A feel-good book that makes one look at one's life with new eyes.
