A good story, but there is too much boring stuff about horses for my liking and it takes up more space in the book than it needs to. The first few chapters of the book could also do with some editing as they don't seem to mesh well together. (I mean, if a bloke gets a phone call from his wife that something is up, wouldn't that take priority over the stupid horses?) I also find the mother's recovery is a bit too quick and if I had kids that were in danger, the last thing I'd do was allow them to be paraded in a horse show while that danger was still around.
