Read like a three page eighth grade essay. Will not read anything by this author ever again.

This book read mostly like a Wikipedia article. I was about 85% of the way through before any actual techniques were discussed. The content reminded me of what I was taught back in grade school. The work actually inspires me to become an author, especially if people are actually willing to pay for something like this.

That said, there was one tip that mentions reading sentences by chopping them up into columns. I thought that this was a neat idea, and realized that I even do this myself unconsciously. It may be possible to pull one or two slightly useful things out of the reading, if you are a coconut. I was somehow left with the feeling you get after having a lengthy talk with a used car salesman.
