This is the 2nd book I've read by Avraham Azrieli. I really enjoyed it! He is very detailed and informative. I learn so much from his books - and they are Fiction! It's a political thriller about a reporter that uncovers a story that has larger political consequences and much even further foreign consequence. You are taken for a ride as she is pursued and continues on her quest to stay alive and get to the truth. I was constantly surprised as the story unfolded in twists and turns that I did not expect.
I expect a Fiction book to entertain me (and this one did!) but I don't expect to learn in the process (and boy did I learn!). This tale is set against the Holiday season around the wedding of the Main character's daughter. Like his wife's upbringing, his daughter has embraced towards the Jewish Orthodox faith. Rusty, born a Christian, but having converted and embraced the Jewish faith, is forced to come to terms with his past and defend his beliefs. He begins questioning and testing his relationships with family and friends while coming to terms with and embracing his past.
