Again, if there is going to be hitting and crops, it would be nice if there was a way to let the reader know. Not everyone likes that and some find it disturbing or a major turn off. Sorry, but not everyone thinks that pain is mainstream folks. And it definitely got in the way of a good relationship sex scene(s).

It has been years since I have read such a masterfully crafted book. The combination of fantasy, science and real deep emotion make this a must read. The series continues to amaze me with its realism and sense of humor. Second chances and redemption, true love and hot sex...

Here I really want to give it more than 3 stars, but my problems with it mean I just can't in good conscience give it 4. So here goes.
The story line is excellent. World building excellent. Chemistry is quite good. Not nearly enough put into the unfairness angle, though. Apparently women are 2nd class yet again in this shifter world and easily abused.
Mild to moderate dominance themes which should be noted out side of having to read it in the story. Mild restraints. Consensual sure, but a trigger. Not every one wants to read about men being dom and women being weak or submissive and restrained. At least there isn't the themes of pain or punishment, which keeps it in the 3 range.

This trilogy was one of the best I have read in a very long time. Elements of fantasy, dragons and lore, but the women aren't doormats! Whats not to like! On the sex and romance part, the sex is light and generally over in a paragraph, and not at all explicit, for those that are concerned. I would say its PG except there is actually sex.

Weird. Too short, no real character development or relationship dev. Plot line is interesting, sex is kind of raunchy and bordering into some dom stuff but not really. Too short - reads more like a synopsis than a book.

I won't give any book 5 stars that doesn't note down when there is spanking. While not made a big deal of, its there and a significant annoyance as a trigger. Good story line and character building. The sex isn't memorable.
