This book is about a deaf girl and the things she has to overcome as a student. A big problem in this book that repeats is that people just assume what is better for her. And then when her phonic ear gets broken she realizes how much she actually needs it and then instead of hiding it she uses it to her advantage.
In my classroom i would use this to teach my students about disabilities and how people overcome the insecurities that come with it

This book is about french toast and pancake racing and challenging each other when they find out that one drop of syrup is left. This book also rhymes so it makes the story funnier.
In my classroom I would use this book as a circle time book for entertainment more than to teach my students about a certain topic. It does have the theme of sharing and friendship though.

This book is about a girl and how her birthday was totally ruined by event that happened during the day but her and her mom found ways to make be flexible with things that would get thrown at you. By the end of the book even though nothing went the way she thought, her birthday party was still successful.

So she decides to fight for change. The protest they had about ADA laws was somewhere where there was steps and she didnt give up. She army crawled up those steps to fight for the change that needed to be made.

It talks about the life they have to live when the mother gets deported and how they have to readjust and figure life back out now that his mother is deported.
