Fascinating although horrifying account of Hitler's rise to power and the people in Berlin and their responses to Hitler at that time. Hopefully a warning to all of what can happen. A peak into the thoughts of some Americans regarding Hitler and into the lives of some famous American authors living at the time. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the history surrounding WW II or the Jewish holocaust.
