It was a great surprise for me that it took me this long to read what must be one of the greatest works of fantasy every created. For me this is fantasy - it is lobbed into the sci-fi section because it happens on another planet. Frank Herbert has managed to weave a world as complex and whole and intricate as Middle Earth, witha flair for language that is inspiring in its depth. An amazing read for anyone who loves to be transported...

Nietzsche is not for the feint-hearted. There is a reuirement of every reader that he or she should be able to look at everyhting that we take for granted and re-evaluate it. A book that changes who you are, oftentimes against your will. In my opinion, a requirement for every thinking person trying to separate from the herd.

It is no surprise that some of the best writing out there these days are to be found in the children's section! Artemis Fowl is a truly unique character in the fairy tale genre. It is worth a read for anybody with an imagination and a love of great writing!
