While this one delved more into romances than inexpected, it was still good! I am, however, extremely frustrated with Alex and how she knows she can't be with Aiden yet refuses to accept his rejection. In the human world, that would be the "I choose the bear" type of conversation. She is feeling like a predator and giving him no options. It's kind of gross. I am even more against their love being a thing. Now Seth? Something seems really off with him. But! I am beginning to think they are more destined than before. He's hiding too much. Aiden is too worried about the breeding order and Seth just wants his rocks off. And let's talk about the jackass minister telly! Screw all of those old ways jerks. This world literally is race wars but against non pure blooded demi gods? Either make them slaves or kill them? Ewww, no ma'am. Alex needs to think of the future not of her lady bones. Same with those two douchebags who can't keep control on their appendages. All in all, I loved this one just as much! Even cried a bit with Caleb. Jennifer, please don't rip my heart out! I need Alex to grow up and stop being so brash!
This book kept me captivated. I couldn't stop reading (but was buddy reading with my friend. ) it was hard to stop at any one chapter. Shelley can burn in a slow and painful deathless fire! He is a must execute on site character. Ephraim deserved so much better than what he got! Also, the turtle scene broke my heart. This book, for all it's jostling scenes and deplorable characters, should be made into a movie. The fact that it ends with the tiniest hint that it didn't actually end, leaves me wanting more and dreading if there is ever more created! The cliffhanger ending is the perfect ending to a whole story.
