Hogs Head Stew is a fun tale that blends childhood ambition with themes of family, identity, and belonging. At its heart is a young boy, named Billy, who is determined to become the best bottle flipper in class 6. As Billy pursues his goal, he encounters the ghosts of his relatives. Though rather frightening at first, Billy soon learns to care for his diseased aunts and uncle, who in turn help him with his bottle flipping.

The Collector soon shows up to try and collect the family ghosts and Billy learns what is really important.

This story is a cute idea, but the writing is fairly simplistic.
