One word: Devastating.

It ended how it had to but like some of the best stories it left me feeling sad. The war is over, but Katniss won't ever really be free from the damage that's been done to her. And that's life, isn't it? Some wounds can't heal.

The Passage is the quintessential vampire novel. For me it breathed new life into a genre that has been used, abused and completely chewed up.

This is a carefully crafted, skillfully weaved, truly creepy story that had me on the edge of my seat from the get-go. I highly recommend it to all lovers of suspense, horror, vampires and just good reading.

This story was super cute. BUT, I don't think I'd read further books in the series. It just kind of felt like the sort of story that SHOULD stand-alone rather than be partnered with others. But that's just me. :)

I'd still recommend this one! It was a fun little story.

I was given an advanced copy of this by the publisher and it is just as amazing as the rest of the series. I suck at reviews so this will be short.

JUST DO IT!

This book had me from the first line. Sure, some of the elements are a bit predictable (Reds, Pinks, Violets, etc), but it doesn't even matter. This is a classic example of cliches used for good.

Darrow is the kind of guy it's hard NOT to sympathize with. He loses everything and yet fights so hard to make sure nobody else has to go through the same pain.

I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say this - when it was over, I didn't want it to be done. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series!

So much wrong with the logistics in this story.

Maybe it was just me, but a man warning everyone that animals are getting increasingly more violent with humans who then decides to live with an ape and then leaves said ape with his GIRLFRIEND is just... more than I could swallow.

If he doesn't believe his own story, why should I?

A man who truly believed everything the main character claims to believe wouldn't live with an ape and certainly wouldn't leave it alone with people he cared for.

Just saying. It was that point the story went downhill for me.

I read this book when I was 9 or 10. It absolutely shattered me. I stole my copy from the library and just never took it back. To this day (some twenty years later), I have this book sitting on my shelf. I have never read it again and maybe never will but it truly shattered me and I feel like I can remember every single detail with startling clarity (a rarity for me). This book will remain on my shelf until I don't have shelves to keep it on. :) It is a vital memory for me.

Thank you Miller for writing such a engrossing novel. Adult me appreciates how this book hooked me on reading.
