Essentially, the book starts by introducing 17 typical transactions a business might perform on a daily basis. It then shows how these transactions are accounted for in each of the major financial statements and even bookkeeping credit/debit accounts.
This is an excellent introduction to accounting and rewards the readers efforts with a clear understanding of the subject matter.

The best bit is the balance sheet is shown using a simple visual notation (blocks!) that makes it really easy to understand.
An excellent book. But I found the presentation of financial transactions a little confusing. Oddly, I could only appreciate this book after reading 'Accounts Demystified' by Rice.
