One of the best books I've ever read. I wish I could read it fresh all over again. Truly deserving of the word "classic."

The first in the series. Main character is a bit of a jerk and the killer was revealed a bit early but overall a good read.

A good read but not as strong as some other Inspector Banks mysteries.

They don't get much worse than this ...
