Knowing the Mystery of Life Within: Selected Writings of Isaac Penington in Their Historical and Theological Context by Isaac Penington
"Our life is love and peace and tendernes and bearing one with another, and forgiving one another, and not laying accusations one against another; but praying one for another, and helping one another up with a tender hand, if ther has been a slip or fall, and waiting till the LORD gave sense and repentance, if sense and repentance is any be wanting." Letter to Amersham Friends Meeting, 1667, page 59
"But some may desire to know what I have at last met with? I answer, I have met with the Seed. Understand that word, and thou wilt be satisfied, and inquire no further." Spiritual Travels, page 24

A good biography of Arthur S. Eddington, his thoughts and his life as a Quaker
I have found all the stories interesting and helpfull.
Have read twice and think it is one of the best early biographies of Dag Hammarskjold.
Mathilda Navias has done an outstanding job with this book. I use it about as much as I use Faith and Practice.
Dag Hammarskjold both wrote and took the photos for this article. I enjoy the first person account.
A good general history of the death of Dag Hammarskjold and the several investigations around his death.
A Pendle Hill reprint of John Woolman's original essay published in 1793. His sub-title carries real weight "A Word of Rememberance and Caution to the Rich." Poverty in a society effects not only the poor.
Any pamphlet written by Howard Brinton is worth reading.
To the Parliament of the Comon-Wealth of England Fifty nine particulars laid down for the regulating things, and the taking away of oppressing laws, ... and to ease the oppressed. By G. F. (1659) by George Fox
The language is not always clear, due to the difference in 17th century English and 21st century English. Still gives a good idea of the concerns of Quakers about social justice of the time.
I have two copies.
While a student at Pendle Hill, I took part in some the Apocalypso plays.

My Friends Meeting had just appointed me as Recording Clerk, when I found this booklet. The auther answered a lot of my "How?" question and gave useful examplies of how to style minutes. One of the most important suggestions he made is to take your time and don't hurry when drafting a minute.
"When a matter is resolved, minute the resolution, not the discussion." page 14

This book has been published or re-published four times: 1) 1993 by Celo Valley Books of Burnsville, NC, 2) in 1996 by Pendle Hill Publications of Wallingford, PA and then in 2003 and 2007 by FGC Quaker Press. I have re-read his chapter on Meeting for Business several times.
The Torah: The Five Books Moses (English and Hebrew Edition) by Jewish Publication Society of America
I do not remember when I bought this copy The Torah, but I have had it for a long time and still enjoy reading it. I do have a traffic ticket in it from 1969, when I worked at the Arkansas Baptist Hospital.
Like what I have read so far. Most of the statements were given anonymously and grouped under different subjects.
Faith and Practice Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends 2017 by Philadelphia Yearly Meeting

THE ECLIPSE OF THE HISTORICAL JESUS Haverford Library Lectures At Haverford College. Haverford, Pennsylvania. April, 1963 by Henry J. Cadbury
This is a hardcover book of the Pendle Hill Pamphlet #133.
A good, readable general history of Quakers in the United States.
This pamphlet was published by Ohio Yearly Meeting (Conservative).
Paul Lacey states a Quaker view on sexual morality, using Paul's letter to the Romans.
Journal of the Life, Travels and Gospel Labours of That Faithful Servant and Minister of Christ, Job Scott by Job Scott
This is the Fourth edition of this book, printed in 1798. I received it from Dan Wilson.
Always a joy to pull this volume off the shelf and re-read one of the stories.
The only guide I have every found dealing the Quaker spelling and grammar.
This little pamphlet provides an good explaintion of many Quaker terms.
