This fiction takes place on and off Spokane Indian reservation located in the eastern part of Washington. It contains 24 stories that portray life scenarios that deal with alcohol, drugs, family, friendship, and relationship/ I like how each story can be related to the reader and give an insight to the possibilities that the stories told can actually happen. I gave this book 4 out of 5 because of variety of stories. Also, I like how the author depicts similarities in problematic lives on Indian reservation and regular city.
The book is a murder mystery. A defense attorney who uses all the legalities to get clients off or get the best deal possible finds a truly innocent client. The ensuing events shake his belief septum and bring out true evil. The reading is intriguing with unexpected twists and turns. The end is a totally unexpected.
It is well written novel of enormous skill and authority with a lot of momentum that show under the most gut wrenching circumstances that somehow the human spirit can still prevail.
It is nonfiction, self-help book. The book helps you to separate yourself from your emotions and your ego prideful self by a form of meditation. By practicing the meditation it helps you to observe things from an objective perception.
The book also explains the way our minds are influenced and controlled by negative thoughts and emotions. IT also explains how our egos are not us but a mere illusion of who we are and what we are. I liked the book because it explained how our minds really operate. I also have been doing the meditation exercise and it really works. I recommend the book to anyone looking for a peace of mind, and anyone who is dissatisfied with methods of religion, and the positive thinking philosophy. It’s what everyone should at least read once.

This book will keep you reading its true story. Robert is a very young hiker, mountain climber who tries to overcome very tuff hiking trails to the extreme. He gets himself in a very scary position while climbing. He tries to go up to high on a rock climbing experience and then to find out that a rock comes loose and send Robert falling down the side of the climb. He got stuck between the rock and the ground. He faces a hard choice to die or to cut his hand off to possible live or bleed to death. It is a very compelling story of faith in himself with photos.
This nonfiction book is about Flight 93 that crashed 9-11-2001 in Pennsylvania during Twin Tower and Pentagon terrorist attack. The book gives a background of the passengers along with a probable scenario of the event that day. “Freedom is not free”. This story shows what motivated people can do, both positive and negative.
The novel starts mid tempo with typical sexy girl abduction. Mild details are sufficient to the plot. The women are young, the psycho killer is predictable. The writer could have made the story more graphic without becoming overtly erotic.
This is the story of man's beginning, his survival and struggles. The book is written through the view of earth first ancestors, their speech and ways of thinking, their views of death and fellow men, also, their meeting with others of their kind.
This nonfiction book is filled with poetry, short stories, and religion that are all based on life events that we can somehow relate to. Topics such as racial issues, health, parental love, forgiveness, marriage, divorce, redemption, self-esteem, death, and an overall outlook on life as we think we know it. I enjoyed how Alexie teaches the reader that with every story tell, there is always a lesson to learn about life, and how life can be better understood through the lives of other people and their experiences. I related to idea that the life teaches us to deal with any given situation at a moment notice and needs to be addressed with our best efforts to overcome it so that we can learn the values of living and appreciating life with people who share our lives, despite the hard times we encounter...Learn to live and live to learn is the way of life...Overall I thought the book is good, but not the best, and not the worst I've read only because of the variety of stories and different forms of writing throughout the entire book is pretty witty...

When Edward tells Bella goodbye, Bella falls into depression, goes agonizing that it literally feels as if someone has punched a hole in her chest. An unlikely old friend of family comes back into her life, and finally, Bella starts feeling somewhat normal again until an unexpected chain of events starts to make everything take a turn for the worse. This is a book of fiction and mystery. I decided to rate because I saw the movie. As always, the book is much better with the ending that keeps you guessing what is going to be next.
The book is non-fiction, and is about Alexander the Great. I have always had an interest in history, military, and classical history. I like the book because even though we may have only fragments and vague recollections, we attempt to picture together what we have left of a very faint memory of a distant past. He does this through this book. In his own way, he attempts to find the personality of Alexander, by analyzing his exploits and stories told of him throughout his short life. I have not had much knowledge before reading this book, but now I understand a lot more of this person’s life and have had a glimpse into daily and yearly workings of Greek and Persian civilizations. Shed some light on religious dogma of that era, and some customs practiced through that period.
In addition, I learned a little about their political structure and society. It is a good book, and very rewarding to read, to the interested reader.

This book has seven steps to living at your potential. Although it is a Christian based book, you do not necessarily need to be a Christian to understand or follow these steps. Book is telling about life, times, and travels of Charles - "Pretty Boy" Floyd - from his extended family, the brother and parents. It just seems that he cannot catch a break; of course, his impulsive actions always seem to catch up with him. He does have deep feelings for who he is with the times. He never forgets his son and the first wife throughout.
Jack Burns is the major character. The book follows his life from 4 years old to adulthood. His mother starts out to look for Jack's father before he goes to school. Along the way, Jack has encounters at an all-girls school, then at an all-boys school leading him through some gender issues before the age 18. Throughout the book the focus is on relationships, tattoos, music, and decision for Jack Burns to find his father, and what that will bring.
If you like mystery and suspense novels, you will enjoy books by Robert Crais. In "Forgotten Man", Los Angeles Police contact a private detective named Ekvis Cole about an old man found dead in an alley. The only clue the police has is the old man's last words, which are that he was trying to find his long lost son Elvis Cole.
Cole is drawn into investigation to solve the murder case and to find out if the dead man is his real father.
A story filled with great characters involved in suspense, action, and romance will make it hard to forget "The Forgotten Man".

This book will help you to stop your dependency on other people. It explains how to deal with frustrations and ruined hopes, how to stop blaming others for your own misery, and finally it teaches you how to be happy and appreciate your own freedom. The writer is talking about her own life experience going into emotional details that probably known to you. The book gives strength to be responsible for your own life. I have not read anything better on the dependency topic. It is a highly recommended book by substance abuse professionals.

This fiction is the 30th book I have read from Griffin. Each of his books is written in an easy and suspenseful story. Once you are in the book, it is hard to put it down.

It takes you to the Antarctica of our society, to the lost in the library science continent of prison libraries. The book is one of the station where explores and practitioners like myself are dwelling for a short time and then taking their journey into the unbelievably blind and deaf to reading and literacy needs environment, it is environment of punishment and wrongdoers.
The only existence of the book about such subject alone contributes to its high value.
I keep its book as a rarity on my bookshelf plus it gives me a sense of participation in special community of prison librarians.
Bonus of the book is Information Skill Training Curriculum in its appendix. The minus is a weak advocacy of prison libraries without any cognitive research cited. It does not mention statistics on usage of prison libraries though all prison librarians are gathering statistics daily. The obvious fact is that there is no strong foundation for existence of prison libraries in our society.
Сhapter 6 covers jailhouse lawyers activities and Law libraries. Ms. Vogel, using extensive recourses, does not mention the cost of prison Law libraries to taxpayers that is very important to know.
The last four lines of the book resumes: “If as Dostoevsky observed, “the degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons”. One can observe the state of prison libraries and wonder whether they are a bellwether for all libraries in twenty-first century American society.”
