I really enjoyed this book. It was a pretty quick read, and I would recommend it for kids around late elementary school and early middle school age. I loved learning about the Titanic in 4th and 5th grade and this book gave a lot of good information about what happened without seeming like it was just rattling off facts about the Titanic (that was saved for the afterword). All in all the book gives the reader just what they think it will when they read the back cover. No great twists or surprises here.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This book was a hard read. The frank look at abuse in many forms took me awhile to read because of the subject matter. I, like others, linked this book to A Child Called It, but the sustained nature of the abuse and the difference in types makes it a separately worthy book.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I was not impressed by this book. There were a few things that stood out, I liked the Celtic references and the bees, but the fundamentals of the book were lacking. Character development was non-existent and the plot was slow. Overall, I'm sure there are better written books in this genre to check out.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I really enjoyed the unusual formatting of this book. It made it easy to read through quickly and made the novel more engaging. I would pick this book up from a library, definitely.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This book was one cliche after another. It wasn't horrible, I didn't want to claw my eyes out, but the virginal girl that has caught the eye of a super natural, seemingly all powerful male who is "just looking out for her" while withholding information and being controlling is too Twilight and too sickening. The pop culture references will date this book quickly, but hopefully the genre will have been staked by then.

I really liked this book. I take the occasional yoga class but am largely left to my own devices to get my yoga on, and I found this book to be very helpful with figuring out poses I hadn't tried before. It was helpful, but I have found much more useful yoga books than this one.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I read this book awhile ago. I like Block's work, but this one was not one of my favorites. Towards the end the various storylines confused me and made me want to be done with the book.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I enjoyed reading this book, but there were a series of issues I had with it that would preent me from telling anyone that it's worth buying. It took me awhile to figure out that there were two characters narrating at different times. That might tell you more about me than the writing, but there you go. I wasn't a fan of any of the characters, which is a big problem for me. I would recommend this book for a quick read from the library, but save your money for other things.
