I mostly believe in the monarchy. A group to give their citizens a positive feeling about life instead of our daily bombardment of negative news. Harry's writing style leaves little to be desired. Like a 6yr old wrote it. For this reason I didn't finish reading his story. I appreciate he's had an interesting life, no thanks to the paparazzi who need to show far more respect to the folks they are reporting on. On the other hand, the Netflix documentary was excellent.
Very interesting ideas and statistics. As much as I would love to see a basic income for a variety of reasons, my own being a less stressful transition in a career change, "my jury" is still out on whether it will be abused more than the author suggests. Covid monthly payments, CERB In Canada, albeit poorly initiated by the government, showed some people's true nature with easy money. None the less, definitely worth reading Rutger's thoughts and opinions.
This is one of my favourite Personal Corporate (Auto) Biographies. A very enjoyable read. An absolutely amazing individual.
This is my 2nd read of a Sandra Brown novel. Thrilling and intriguing to the last chapter. An awesome storyline. I will definitely be reading more novels by Sandra Brown.

An interesting plotline but less than exciting to read. I wish authors, like Patterson and Cussler and others, would stop using co-authors. They are never written in the style which sold us on the author in the first place.
Although the author wrote this book for the youth audience, I as an old guy found it very enjoyable to read with lots of interesting facts intertwined throughout the story.
Every chapter is a story or event or philosophy in Bill Sr's life. A self made man who, with his wife as an equal, created a family environment to allow his son to flourish in his own right.
I wish Clive Cussler would go back to writing his own stories. This novel had too many directions trying to interleave but failing.

David said this is one of his 5 best novels.
Amazing stories of life in the early Cariboo, BC. The author has an incredible writing style.
A very informative book on the sugar industry in Western Canada. Facts, facts and more facts, but somewhat dry reading.
This was the first James Patterson novel I didn't enjoy. After 1/3 of the book there was still no direction to the plot. Very unsatisfying to read. Perhaps it was the dual author, it's not pure Patterson.
The title led me to believe that these were actual true stories of life in BC. Only a small percentage are. Each to his own
I love biographies. I love this book's storyline. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the author's writing style so I was unable to get thru more than a few chapters. Instead I will try to find a lengthy summary/review to read and watch the movie, which I understand is mostly excellent and accurate, other than a few embellishments which Hollywood is famous for.
Although a fictional story, it could have been true. Reflected the history of the time period following WW2 between Port Mellon and Gibsons, BC.
Maybe I live in a bubble, but I read this book not realizing it was a true story. I love Jeffrey Archer's writing style, and this was yet another of his amazing stories. Upon finishing the book I googled 'George Mallory' and realized it was a true story. Definitely worth the read.
An extraordinary story of the horrors Eric Lomax went through in a Japanese POW camp in Burma during World War II. The movie is also excellent, and expands the book's presentation on the life of Eric after the war using flashbacks to tell the story of his internment. A few years back I watched the movie and enjoyed it so much I purchased the book. Recently I got around to reading the book, and then watched the movie again. Definitely read the book first.
Excellent bio on the founder of Nike. Hard work and perseverance pays off.
A great history of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. BC's most popular senior's community. Maybe even Canada's!!
A great story about the founder of the H.Y.Louie Company in Vancouver, BC (London Drugs) and how future family generations continued on with it's success.
