3 ½ Heart rating: Good Book
3/5 Sensuality: There Is Sex, but Nothing Explicit
3/5 Heat: Sizzling
In this second installment, we pick up from exactly where Exposed: Laid Bare Volume 1 ended. Dahlia and Lucien are trying to figure out if they have a future.
I enjoyed this installment more than the first one. Maybe because we get more answers and we’re not left totally in the dark. Finding out what Lucien was made sense and I liked it. He wasn’t what I was suspecting but I liked that twist.
I am still curious about him and now his cousin, Selene. I really liked the scene where Lucien tried to transfer his energy to Dahlia, then having it back fire on him was interesting to watch. I want to know more about the butler. He seems like an interesting character.
Still, I couldn’t help but feel like information was being glossed over. Like if only it was a few more chapters longer….
This is why I shouldn’t do novella’s, i’m a sucker. In one sense, the author baby fed us some information but there’s more questions that need answers. And just when I felt like I was really getting into the novella, it ends >_

My oh my.
Oh Lord have mercy on my soul, I loved this book. Now, I’m not one to read a taboo romance, I could careless for them but this book I devoured it in one sitting.
I don’t even know where to begin, my head is spinning with Charles and Ava. I didn’t know what I was getting into upon reading this book, but it was honestly such a sweet story. Okay, so now gathering my thoughts, Sinned was about Charlie and Ava. It’s written in first POV with two different POV, Charles and Ava. We get a glimpse of the present, then we are taken to the past. The alternating POV, I didn’t mind it all. It helped the reader to fully understand both of the characters.
As I digress, Charles was a priest and Ava a doctor. They meet in a church and from that point on, they connect. They have great conversations, a lot in common and both have a mutual physical attraction for each other. Ava doesn’t hide her feelings and attraction but poor Charlie, he’s trying his hardest to control himself.
One thing leads to another and then they’re on this road trip together and a storm brews in the distance forcing them to pull over and stay at a hotel. Charles and Ava spend the night talking and enjoying each other, a night that neither of them will forget. Nothing sexy happens at the hotel but they connect on a sinfully amazing level.
This story was sweet and sexy. It was show more sensual, forbidden, tender and very intriguing. Charles and Ava were believable characters and the author wrote the story as if it could happen in real life. Like I could see real people going through what they had.
I was heart-broken when Ava was broken. I could feel the tender pain gnawing at Charles heart when he had to leave and let me tell you I didn’t expect the ending. It was a surprise that brought a smile to my face, a surprise that warmed my heart, a surprise that also made me feel sad for Ava because she had to go through that alone. But nonetheless everything worked out.
I would definitely read more books from this author.

Write to me is about Gloria, a woman whose husband has died and while in a book store she finds this letter. Gloria reads it and falls in love with the poetic words written on the paper and she even reads it so much that she can recite the letter by heart.
Now we have Bryan, a college professor who doesn’t want to settle down and finds love and things of a sort simply stupid. However when Gloria and Bryan meet in that same book store and Bryan is hanging out in the same section where Gloria found that letter, she thinks she has found the author.
Gloria so caught up in the beautiful words that have captured her heart, wants to believe that Bryan is then man of this profound work and asks him. Bryan accepts the sappy letter despite him not believing that one should lay their soul bare and vulnerable, in the way that the author had done in the letter.
Let the games begin.
Gloria was a sweet character, awesome mom and owner of a hair salon. She was a very strong character and that I loved. You knew where she stood from the very beginning and she went after it. However where Gloria faltered with me, she fell in love and can recite this love letter written by a person totally unknown. She not only became really obsessed with the letter, reading it every night, she indirectly in a sense, fell in love with the author. She fell in love with his heart and soul. With his ability show more to splatter his emotions unto a paper.
Bryan he was an ass hole from the moment we met him. His intentions were pretty clear but the more they interacted the more he softened up to Gloria. I will admit, things moved really fast between the two, maybe a little too fast. But then again, that’s love for you. You never know when love is going to strike.
I thought Gloria forgave him a little too easily. I mean Bryan lied to her about the letter, then he lied to her about Courtney and why they broke up. He even went to her and asked Gloria to help him write a letter to get Courtney back. That’s a lot of lies and the faking of emotions, because he had to come across as sad and heart broken. For me that’s just too much manipulation. There’s a line.
I felt like I needed more. The novella felt too short and if there was more background to support the characters, maybe I would have liked Bryan more. Maybe I would have felt bad for him and his past. His reasoning behind not wanting to settle down is explained, but it was too short for me to care.
I honestly thought that Bryan didn’t deserve Gloria, after all that she’s been through to find that jerk. I’m kind of annoyed that she forgave him so easily but I thought the ending was really sweet (I don’t want to give it away.) I thought that was really heart-felt and I get why she forgave him(just a little). Bryan bared his soul, vulnerable for her to see and in the end he learned what true love was about.
I don’t think he deserved her love and I hope Gloria makes him work his ass off for the lies and manipulation.

3 1/2 Heart rating: Good Book
4/5 Sensuality: Not Exactly Erotica But Still Hot
3/5 Heat: Sizzling
Exposed: Laid Bare was an easy read but I felt like there was something missing. This very short novella, starts off Dahlia who is suppose to photograph this ultra billionaire Lucien for a magazine and no one has ever gotten any good pictures of him. So of course Dahlia being a professional photographer is intrigued and jumps all of the opportunity. Things move very fast between the two, which leaves you with a WTF moment. As well as Dahlia, she was very confused how Lucien handles it all.
Laid Bare was an interesting read and left me wanting to know more about Lucien. His actions in the beginning was very sexy and ultra steamy in the way they got together and the control he has over Dahlia is mysterious. I want to know more. Lucien was written in a very interesting way, and I want to know more about him as well. I want to know more about him and his secrets. I just want to know more in a general but I think if this novella was a little longer, I would have have been satisfied enough.
I was confused with the scene at the club, I won’t say anything about that because I don’t want to give too much away.
I found Dahlia a little childish throughout the story and I felt bad for her lady parts. My god that man has a stamina.
Overall, Laid Bare has intrigued me enough to see what Dahlia and Lucien have in stored for their future.

5/5 Heart Rating: I loved the book, the story line and characters =)
2/5 Sensuality Rating: There was sex but behind closed doors.
3/5 Heat Rating: The sexual chemistry was sizzling.
Under The Cover was a sweet story that I instantly fell in love with. Now this book being the third in the series, that didn’t mean anything. It wasn’t like I was confused and didn’t know what was going on. Under The Covers was a stand alone novel.
Now as I digress, Under The Covers was about Elle, a mother who has ran away from her abusive ex-husband(boyfriend) Dean. She lives a few cities away from the farm that Dean’s parents owned in hopes to start a new life. Elle opens a little cafe to help support herself and her son, and wants help from no one. Especially not from a group of strangers who help her out on her grand opening, noticing that Elle in over her head with all the customers.
George is included in that group of strangers who helped Ellie out and he is instantly attracted to her, and vice versa. But with leaving her ex a few weeks ago, Elle is in no state of mind to be taking on a relationship any time soon.
Poor Elle is broken and scared, and the last thing she needs is for a surprise visit from her so called mother-in law. That visit springs forth drama to last until the end of the book. I did not like the mother-in law, I would have lit her a*s on fire if that was me. Dean, my god. He’s the scum of the earth and he doesn’t deserve Toby.
George, I didn’t see him as show more flirtatious(Well, in this book). I saw that he had good intentions for Elle. I never once questioned his motives or any of his actions. I did however worry for Elle the entire read. I wondered how in her state she would handle George and his feelings for her. At times I wanted to yell at her because George only wanted to help and she was shutting him out(For good reasons) but still.
I loved how sweet and patient George was with Ellie and his understanding was unmeasurable. I found it cute that although he had kids of his own, he was very kind to Toby. Omg, I died with laughter when George was trying to explain different kinds of ‘Liking’ when it comes to kissing and Toby twisted that into George wanting to ride Ellie, like a horse. Hehe. I mean he did, but it was cute. I had to tell my husband that one.
I’m happy Ellie got a good man and a good group of friends. My heart broke at the end when George wanted to go to Ellie but he was unsure of her feelings. I really felt for the man.
I will admit, I thought the ex would have caused more trouble near the end. I guess I was expecting more of a BANG to end, but I’m satisfied with the way everything worked out.

Beautiful Regret. My, oh my...
I read the first installment and I will say that Rhyme has topped the first one. I mean, I really enjoyed the first one and I had no idea where the author was going to take the story but I loved every minute of it.
So, in this installment we continue from where the 1st installment left off and that’s us finding out that Ivy has a brother. A brother, from a past that her mother tried run away from but like that saying goes, ‘Your past will always catch up with you, no matter how hard you try to make it go away.’ Well, it wasn’t Ivy who tried to runaway, it was her mother but still, you get my point.
Now years later Ivy’s half brother wants to make contact but it makes me wonder, why? Why now? Sure, maybe he couldn’t get a hold of her but then again did he even try? I will admit that I wanted to know more about Ivy’s brother and I am a little disappointed that there wasn’t much more about that in this installment.
Jax, oh sweet Jax. I love him. He’s such a sweet guy and he had my heart melting. I understand from Ivy’s perspective why she wanted space from Jax, even though I willed her not to run from him- not to leave him. Did I mention that I really love Jax? He has stolen my heart, much like how he swept up Ivy into his ocean blue eyes.
Don’t get me started on their sex scenes. They’re hot. Not over the top. Not too much sex, just the right amount, with the right touch. Its friggn sexy.
And oh boy, that last scene had me show more screaming at the computer. I have love/hate feelings toward the last chapter. It’s sweet the way Jax treats Ivy, they way he interacts with her. You can feel his emotions for her and you can feel that even though she’s hesitant, Ivy feels strong emotions for him as well.
I mean in one sense, I’m like wanting them to get married and skip straight to their happy ending but then the cliff hanger happens. I’m then i’m like, WTF!
NOOOO!
I also have a love/hate relationship with installments. They drive me crazy and to tell you the truth, most installments I simply stop reading them after a while. But Rhyme Devereux has done a wonderful job and I can’t wait to read Beautiful Regret Part Three.
She has found a new fan =)

It was my first time reading this author and it was interesting read. It was out of my genre to what I usually go toward but all in all I didn’t mind it.
Alien Baggage Allowance is about Aliens and them coming to earth. Its funny, has its dark humour which had me laughing, and smiling at some of the jokes. The book poked at us, as humans and how aliens would(maybe) perceive us in the eyes of a whole other species.
Most of the chapters began with ‘When they arrived,’ and each chapter was a different encounter with an alien. Either the human’s perspective and sometimes the aliens. The book wasn’t annoying with every new chapter was a complete different scene. It was very entertaining. Some chapters were longer than others and I mean, they were short, like a couple of sentences short but that didn’t bug me.
I found some of the alien encounters funny. Especially the questions the aliens would ask the humans. They would be really silly, like about humpty dumpty or why don’t all the humans look a like. The aliens had a hard time understanding why we did, what we did. I found it funny how the aliens chased around the butterflies, I don’t know why I found that funny. I just did =)
There maybe some chapters that might come across as offensive but all in all, I enjoyed Alien Baggage Allowance.

In this 3rd installment, I didn’t like reliving the past of Jason’s experience with Vale.
Bringing us back into the present, I know that Vale has some serious insecurities, but what happened with Jason and Maria, I mean come on Vale and put some things into perspective. Jason pulled away, she witnessed everything for Christ sake. Her getting pissy with Jason I didn’t understand. Who cares about the past. Hence, the past is in the past. Ask the appropriate questions and move on, or not. Vale accepted that he was a prince of porn and with that, she’s accepting that he may, or may not have a past. I felt her running away was very immature. Deal with the situation first, then put Maria in her place, then deal with your fiancé. Not run away.
I thought it was very cute, when Jason sent Vale the text ’I want you, I need you, I LOVE YOU, I had to see you, I am here.’ I have officially fallen in love with Jason. I love him. He’s such a sweet guy and has such good intentions when it comes to Vale. I can’t help but to love him.
Vale’s ex husband, I only hate him more. He’s a selfish little bastard and playing all these cruel little mind games on Vale, is just awful. I mean, that’s just over the top cruel to the lie Vale figured out. My jaw literally dropped. I was happy that Vale had put together that big lie.
I found Jason’s jealously a little over the top. In fact from the the very beginning, from Yummy Addictions he was like an extreme case of jealously. I show more couldn’t understand it at all, but it guess it just boils down to Jason loving Vale. I was worried throughout the series that his extreme jealously was going to go in a dangerous direction but I’m happy how everything concluded.
Their wedding was very cute and over all, it was a good enough read for me to complete it all in one sitting.

Reading Yummy Temptations #2, I couldn’t get into it like I did Yummy Addictions #1.
In the second installment, the author continues off from where Yummy addictions #1 left off and I really liked the twist with what had happened to Vale. Although, I felt as though what Vale had been through and how she recovered felt kind of rushed to me.
The sex scenes were too wordy for my liking. However, I still really enjoyed Jason and Vale. From the first installment, I was pretty close to what I was suspecting that Jason did, career wise. I understand Vale’s insecurities when she found out about Jason and her reaction was a realistic one. I really enjoyed how protective Jason was with Vale. You could feel his emotions and hers, with the authors words.
But still, there were parts that seemed rushed. The last few chapters where Vale and Jason are at a club and non stop drama keeps following Vale seemed over done. I mean, sure, it could happen, maybe. I think that Vale’s bastard ex husband deserves to be thrown off a cliff. He’s an asshole and I wanted Jason to put him in his place many times. I was happy that Vale slapped him. I wanted to shout at him, on behalf of Vale. Her ex husband should feel very low, that his wife was able to get a porn prince as her boyfriend. I think that says a lot about Vale. She knows what she’s doing to keep a man like that.
Overall, Jason and Vale are still a sweet couple and I hope I enjoy the 3rd installment more.

Beautiful Regret. I loved the name and hoped that I would enjoy the book as well, and I did!
In this first installment we meet, Ivy(Ivory) and Jax(Jaxon). By the way I love the name Jaxon and as I digress... They both knew each other from their past and met up again far in the future.
I liked the flash backs, they were cute and helped build a better understanding to how Jax and Ivory's friendship worked. Jax was a sweet friend to her back then with her family drama and now, he seems just as sweet. Nothing seems to have changed to how he views Ivy, years later.
I liked Ivy and Jax, they seemed cute together. You could tell that Jax would want more from Ivy from their past, that the author slowly reveals to us and I can't help but to root for them. Ivy has her baggage and I understand from what she went through, to just 'let go', that would be tough. But then again, from the little flash backs of them as kids, I feel like Jax will do good by her.
The author did a good job at writing this novella. I got instant connections with the characters and fell in love Jaxon. I can't wait to read the 2nd installment.

The 2nd installment to Her Confessionals I enjoyed very much. In Our Little Secret, Sarah and Cameron start their relationship off with a nose dive into the heavens. Both have confessed their love for each other and caught up in their feelings Cameron asks Sarah to marry him.
Okay...Wife and husband...Sure why not? They've been friends long enough. But friends and lovers are two different ball games. Plus Cameron also got that big movie deal, that's like a dark cloud following them and well, Hollywood romances can become complicated. Sarah knows this but is willing, for the sake of love, to give the man who she has loved in the distant, a good fighting chance.
Can you say 'Honey moon stage'. I can sing it loud and clear because that's what I thought when Cameron proposed. They're having wild monkey sex, non stop and confessing how much they love each other. 'Honey moon stage'.
Love is a bitch!
At first I thought that Cameron was going to have other motives for asking Sarah to marry him. But by the end of this novella, I felt really bad for Sarah and Cameron. I felt their pain but at the end of the day, a sacrifice needs to be made. They need to both look at the bigger picture. After all, nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.
I really enjoyed Our Little secret. It was hot and sweet. I loved Cameron's sex stamina, lol. I can't to see what's in stored for Sarah and Cameron.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and let me say that I will definitely be reading more. Yummy addictions was a sexy read and it pulled you right in, and the author made me feel like I was right there in Paris. I want to go down to Paris and go shopping now, lol.
In this 1st installment to the Yummy trilogy, we meet Vale and Jason. Vale is a pretty Cuban girl, with curves and all. Her ex-husband did not appreciate her, which left her feeling very self-conscious about herself. Physically, emotionally, mentally and sexually. I felt really bad to how she was treated.
Now, divorced Vale decides to take a trip to Paris to splurge and enjoy some alone time. Maybe have a fling or two, then she meets Jason. The mystery play boy, and a guy she meet at party years ago when she was married. Fireworks takes off and its a hot and steamy, exciting vacation for the two of them.
Vale, I liked her but she had baggage that needs to be dealt. I was so excited for Vale when Jason showed up out of the blue. They had a lot of wild monkey sex and fun, but I didn’t fully understand Jason’s jealously. For barely knowing Vale he got jealous pretty easily, and even Vale noticed it but pushed it under the carpet. I liked Jason, thought he was a super sweet guy but he’s so mysterious. For the whole story I kept waiting for baggage to be unloaded. To find out what does Jason do exactly, how can he manage to pay for everything and at the end with his show more boys, I thought it was all gonna come out but it didn’t. AGH!!
This story was well written and I loved the characters, they were enjoyable. I can’t to read on to find out what happens between Vale and Jason.

Making Of a Star is a short sweet read.
Its written like Sarah was talking directly to you and telling you how Cameron and her met.
Cameron and Sarah have been friends for a while and slowly she starts to gain feelings for him. Of course she tries to ignore him and push those feelings away but one drunken night, changes everything. What Cameron did to Sarah, I could have kicked him so hard, his mama would feel it. Like who does that to someone and then not contact them back. Especially since she was your friend, not just a random friend, a best friend who knows you like the back of your hand. I really felt bad for Sarah and I probably would have ran him over with my car.
I liked the story because it was realistic and was a break from the regular fast paced other novella’s i’m used to reading.
I like Sarah. She was a very down to earth gal and Cameron, they are both sweet.
For me though, I couldn’t really get into the story all that much, because of the narration and it felt like the characters weren’t development enough but I am curious to see where the author takes the story.
Sensual rating 3/5 there is sex but nothing explicit.

Drive Me Wild. Another dangerous read by Shari Slade.
I loved this 3rd part to the Devils Host MC Series. It was a more in-depth read to this exciting series. It was intense in every way possible and I read on impatiently wanting to find out what was going to happen to Noah.
In this 3rd installment you can tell that everything going on is slowly getting to Star, and she’s not appreciating how Noah treats her. Well, she’s hot and cold. Its a love/ hate relationship with the way he treats her. It annoys Star yet gets her lady parts all hot and achy, and the only thing to sooth her conflicting feelings is Noah. Him and all his muscles, and powerful manhood.
What is a girl to do? I feel her pain. I feel her confusion. I feel her torn at her decisions, her questions on whether or not she will live or die. Whether or not Noah will live or die. Whether or not Noah and her will have a future together. And whether or not her feelings for Noah are real or not.
Are her feelings love or lust? Noah took her away from a boring life and dropped her in a exciting chaotic world. Love or lust? Is it because they have wild monkey sex. Love or lust? Is it because he can talk to her in such a demanding tone, that should be embarrassing yet she gets aroused by his demeaning commands, and sometimes degrading actions. Love or lust?
What is it? And by the time Star figures it all out will she be alive?
At the end of the day, Noah gets her and vice versa. They’re show more quite a duo. They get each other going and know each other’s limits.
I like how you see a softer side to Noah, yet he still keeps his roughness.
At the end of this installment you find out whose a Rat, in the Devils Host gang and Star has to get to Noah fast, before its too late…
Exciting!
Can’t wait for the next installment.
Sensual rating 5/5 Its explicit.
Heat rating 3/5 its sizzling.

I have such a love hate relationship with Good Pussy Bad Pussy and when I saw that A. Aimee was putting out a 2nd copy to this series, I was once again intrigued and I couldn’t resist. I’m really trying to collect my thoughts on this book because there are so many.
Good Pussy Bad Pussy In Captivity, is a different kind of book all in its own category. Its not the kind of book for the faint of heart, and there are scenes in this book, very bad situations that Rachel has fallen into and they are hard to read to through.
This book was a roller coaster ride. It starts you off with some bad news about Albert and from there your heading down a very steep drop. I liked how A. Aimee wrote the sex scenes in this book. It wasn’t just sex and don’t get me wrong, there was a lot of sex, but Rachel’s relationship with Albert and Stefan you felt the love between the three characters. Even though you were reading the sex scenes, it was more like you were reading about how much Albert and Rachel loved each other, or Stefan and Rachel. Does that make sense? I hope it does, lol.
In fact, I hadn’t realized how much I missed Stefan and Rachel being together. They are scenes where you can feel the heavy emotions, feel their love, pain and hurt. You can feel the unspoken regret. I mean, at the end of the day they had, still had love and how can there not be any regrets between them? When Rachel was happy and surprised to see Stefan, I was excited for her.
Rachel, oh Rachel… I hated a show more lot of decisions in Good Pussy Bad Pussy, and I still hated her decisions in Good Pussy Bad Pussy in Captivity. She’s a frustrating character and I wanted to grab her and slap some senses into her. I couldn’t understand her mind, I’ve tried but still I found her really childish. I don’t know if its childish, maybe gullible or annoyingly naive. Ugh. I don’t know but Rachel is one really irritating character.
This book is darker and it is still a page turner. I wanted to know what would happen to Rachel, despite my feelings for the character. Rachel is a strong character and she will survive. She’s made it this far so it was more, how will everything unfold.
During this read, I felt as though Rachel wasn’t really dealing with everything in a normal way. A person in real life who has been through hell and back, like Rachel has been, would have issues. Especially with her sexuality and trying to figure out her pussy. Like the title says, Good Pussy Bad Pussy. What is a good pussy and bad pussy, and how does one understand it? Where are the limits?
I was very impressed with Rachel’s confession and questions at the Buddhist monastery with Anton, I was really proud of her. It made her seem more normal/human to me.
Good Pussy Bad Pussy In Captivity was a very nice read and I look forward to reading more books by A. Aimee.

Break Me In is another fast paced, exciting read.
Continuing from where Ride Me Hard left off, Noah drags Star along with whatever it is that he’s doing. Drag, I use the word lightly because she went with him willing, despite his warning signs to stay away. Despite that he beat up the sheriff who was hitting on her. Did the officer deserve that beat down, maybe a little…but not to that extreme.
Star willing leaves behind a life where her landlord comes and goes out of her apartment as he pleases. An apartment that she can barely afford and a job that barely pays her to survive. She leaves her home behind with its broken door, barely hanging on its hinges to ride away into the sunset with Noah. Or ride straight to hell. Depends on how you want to look at it. Depends on how Star is looking at it.
Shit gets real serious, and the excitement that Star didn’t know she was seeking becomes all too real as Noah and his friend take Star to a club. This club is gritty and dangerous with drugs, naked women, random sex everywhere. In this scary club, Star’s flight or fleet responses are kicking in full gear. There, in all that trepidation building inside of her, she meets the big bad Dev. The one that Noah and his friend have been talking about repeatedly since before they left.
A little too late to decide flight or fleet Dev decides to use Star to get information out of Henry. I felt bad for her. I was a happy that Noah stepped up and wanted to do show more the lashings instead of Dev. I felt bad that Noah had to do that. I hated Dev because he knew, could tell how Noah liked Star. Dev got what he deserved.
The reason why I rated this 4/5 hearts is because I couldn’t get over the fact that although Star was beaten, and hurt she still wanted Noah to screw her. I have never been lashed before but I could only imagine the excruciating heat on her flesh. Then when she woke up all horny for Noah. Maybe Star has a high level of pain tolerance.
I like Noah. I’m intrigued to know more about him, his family and gang family. There’s more to the big bad biker than what meets the eyes. I’m excited to know about what happened to his sister. I want to know what will happen with what Noah did to Dev and I just want to know more!

Ride me hard gets straight to the point and throws you right into drama.
Its a short, sexy read, with a very bad guy, who lets Star know what he wants and how he wants it. She is claimed by him and Star is willing to bend to his every desire. Star is attracted to the biker, yet scared of him and is intrigued to pursue whatever bumpy roads she will encounter with this stranger, despite all Noah’s warnings.
Star is more than willing to up and leave her old life behind for the excitement and wayward promises for something more. Something new, and fresh and Noah is the perfect Biker who has crash landed in her mediocre life and stir shit up.
Slade left me curious about Noah. He’s a bad boy. Who doesn’t love a bad boy? Especially bad boys with soft spots, lol. You can tell that there’s something there and I want to find out more.
I couldn’t give Ride Me Hard 5 stars, because I felt as though Star gave in a little too easy for me totally like her. But maybe the promises of something more, another life different from her own. I think Noah unleashed a rebel inside of Star, another side to her that she would love to explore. Interested to read book 2.
Sensual rating 5/5 because well, its explicit.
Heat rating 3/5 its sizzling, but nothing more for me.

Deception & Obsession (Turbulent Desire Series vol.1 & vol.2): Turbulent Desire Series vol.1 & vol.2 (Volume 1) by Ericka Santana
***This review is only for Deception
Deception follows Sky, a young girl who just turns 18 years old and her family and best friend go to Italy. In Italy Sky meets a very attractive Italian man and from there fireworks takes off. To me Deception was a sweet story in one sense because of how naive and innocent Skylar is. She doesn’t know better and she falls head over heels in love with this guy after a few days.
I found it hard to like Skylar and her best friend because of how immature they both seemed. It didn’t feel like I was reading a story about two mature 18 year old girls. It felt like I was reading a story about two little 16 year old girls who are just finding out that boys exist.
The sexual situations weren’t all that hot for me. Again because of Sky and not being able to connect to her at all. JC on the other hand, he’s on his own level.
Over all I believe Deception to be a cute story about a girl falling in love for the first time. I can’t say that Sky was stupid for falling in love so quick, because that’s how my hubby and I happened but her maturity level annoyed me

I will admit, in the beginning it was a little hard for me to get into the book and I think for one, it was because of the narrative voice and secondly, I didn’t connect that well with Thomas or Stella. However once Alex came along, it seemed to be smooth sailing.
This book jumped from different characters POV and that I liked. To see what everyone was thinking, I hate being in the dark. Thomas and Stella were sleeping together with rules, 1. Never talk about the past or possible future 2. No sleep over 3. Find another.
Thomas was the one who insisted that Stella find another and guess what, she did, and that’s when all the hidden emotions began to bubble over. Stella ended up finding another who was Alex, while waiting for Thomas at a bar, and as the story unfolds they become closer. I liked how Alex approached his relationship with Stella. Obviously he would have loved to sleep with her but he put those desires aside to really get to know who Stella was. I loved that about Alex, his sweet, patient side of him. I loved the date that they had in the garden and how thoughtful he had been with setting everything up. There was a 4 month skip in this book with Stella and Alex, and I would have loved to see how their relationship blossomed within that missing time.
Now by this point Thomas is kicking himself in the ass and he’s very adamant on proving to Stella that he was the only man for her. I was really curious as I got closer to finish up the book, to who Stella was show more going to choose because she had strong emotions for both of them. Strong different emotions but Thomas to me, seemed very promising in the sense that he started to treat her like a girlfriend and doing little kind gestures that he normally wouldn’t have done before. Alex was always the sweat one hands down, and then Thomas who had been changing his game to suit Stella, oh boy what choices! If only she could have blended the two, but in the end Stella had to choose only one.
The ending, I didn’t see coming. For me personally, I would have preferred it not to be a secret but it was a good read. show less

I really, really enjoyed this book. Okay,I’m lying. I loved this book. From the moment Anna laid eyes on Battle Baylor to chapter 5, I was officially hooked. I love Drew’s and Anna’s banter, their chemistry and I love how Drew knows that he is sexy and is wanted by many girls, lol. Drew is an eye candy who knows what he wants and he will not stop until he has Anna. Events leading up to that scene had me turning the pages, impatiently reading every word to see at what point, were they both going to give in.
Reading The Hook Up, was a fun read and I didn’t exactly know where Kristen was taking the story. I had a few guesses but was thrown off quite a few times. The pacing of the story was good. Kristen does a very good job at building anticipation and making the reader feel the needing heat between Anna and Baylor. You feel every emotion down to your very own core and at times it leave it breathless.
Anna had her insecurities, and at times I wanted to yell at her for allowing the past to disrupt the good she has with Drew Baylor. I wanted to beat her over the head and even when the inevitable happened, I mean for me reading it, I knew her insecurities were going to cause problems but I just didn’t know when and that was killing me because it was like ‘The calm before storm.’ And when the inevitable happened between Anna and Baylor, my heart still ached for her. It ached worse for Drew.
Battle Baylor, I love him, did I mention that? I want to put him my pocket and show more bring him out when needed, lol. Drew was written perfectly, his thoughts and feelings towards Anna were realistic and even down to his boys was believable.
Like a glass of whiskey, which gets smoother and simply better with age, its the same thing with The Hook up(Game on). The characters get more and more interesting, the setting and plot thickens, and its the kind of book that flushes you with many emotions. One minute your eagerly flipping through the pages as Anna and Drew get all hot and sexy. Next your heart is breaking and then a few pages later, you’re just sitting there as a warmness engulfs your insides and leaving you in a state of ‘aw, that’s cute’.
I’m very interested in Gray Grayson’s story. show less

So, I got this book from the author to review and I was intrigued. Like many others reading this book, I couldn’t identify with the main character(Rachel) at all, lol. I found her kind of childish and really annoying, I couldn’t understand her reasoning behind leaving behind her child to do what she does in the book. I have two kids of my own and would never fathom leaving them for weeks to explore my sexual side.
Despite my disconnection with Rachel, and her multiple bad decisions I still found myself turning pages, curious to see how everything will end for her. I mean, I had no idea what was going to happen, Rachel had gotten herself in deep in Nice and coming back to New York and with her brother-in-law and everything that happened in general, I couldn’t feel sorry for her because I felt as though she brought all her misfortune on herself.
Rachel was such a complex character and I’m not too sure what she was seeking, exactly, because even though I felt as though she got what she wanted and more than what she could handle, in the end it seemed to me that she lost more of herself. Which then wouldn’t that make all her trials and tribulations pointless?
Ultimately, she got a semi happy ending, I suppose. I mean none of her problems were solved, I mean she found her baby daddy and has a sugar daddy but all her inner problems are still unsolved. In the end, I’m happy that everything turned out good for Rachel and I don’t know how everything still managed to turn show more out okay but it did. I was really worried.
Overall it was a good read and I enjoyed it!

In this story we meet Ally and Liam. Two are the complete opposites and its a wonder how they managed to even ignite a spark. Ally speaks her mind, and doesn’t back down for anyone and Liam, well he’s a reserved business man who is closed off to relationships due to his cheating ex girlfriend. In fact both Alley and Liam have had bad break ups in the past but Alley is more than willing to put in effort with Liam but he’s is hesitant.
I liked Ally, she was feisty but then sometimes I just wanted her to shut up and stop. Liam, I felt as he gained more feelings toward Ally he become possessive and that I didn’t like but then again, I understand his feelings. His emotions and insecurities all came from his past relationship and that is an idealistic situation.
I found both of them to act very childish at how they handled situations but both Ally and Liam had baggage coming to their relationship and it played out in a realistic way. Not all relationships have a happy ending. Not everyone will handle things in a mature way and not everything can be fixed with love, or that ‘Special’ one.
Can’t wait to read the next installment.
