Every teenager is uncomfortable in their own skin. But a society that actually encourages people to be self conscious is so strange. From teh time she hit puberty, Tally was told she was ugly. Now on an adventure to save her best friend she learns to love herself for who she is. But there is a secret with the Pretty Operations. An ugly, horrifying truth.
Feed is a great book. It's about how far a society will go for comfort. When you have the technology for everything, what truly matters is forgotten.
Not really my favorite of the 4. Maybe I like it because I find the whole thing humorous. Seriously,I can't even begin to tell you how outrageous this plot is. Read it. Laugh.
I think its the action that capture my attention so much. How cruel a government--or anyone for the matter-- can be is appalling, but not impossible. It's something everyone should read to learn from.
One O’Clock Chop is an easy read and not exactly a thriller but it pinpoints the life, love, and anxiety of teenagers and their summer experiences. This book shows the growing maturity of one boy through hard work fishing clams and his growing love for his cousin. This book shows that love can be both complex and simple if you want it to be. The relatives in this book decided that love was simple—feelings of the heart should be the only thing t hat matters. Though, there is always a more complex, twisted, and impure side to romance that can muddle relationships forever. It only took me a few days to read but I think it was worth it.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s funny, that time of the month for a girl can be a real big pain. Especially when for four days you transform into a boy. But changing genders isn’t the only thing that takes place. A new persona known as Jack lives inside of Jill and is living life through her eyes most of the time. The book is not only about learning to cope, but like any teenager, Jack searches for his identity while Jill tries tirelessly to get rid of him.
If anyone ever wanted to look up on one of the reasons Gangster Hip-Hop became so popular, look no further than the Biography of Dr. Dre. The Biography covers Andre Young's early childhood, teenage years, and of course, his rise to fame with the N.W.A. , along with the creations of many other popular music artists like Snoop Dog and Eminem. Even if you DON'T like Gangster Rap, it is still a great story.
