A shout- out to Ray and Michele in appreciation for the ARC of this book.

This is the first book of theirs I have read and I'm so interested in reading other books written by them.

Haunted was the perfect book to bring me out of my slump! It's a novella, fast paced with the right among of mystery -
OMG!!!!! I LOVE IT! I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

As a horror fan this is one of the best horror fiction I have ever read. Watching horror movies is my favorite thing to do but reading them is even better. It's easier to create mind blowing and gory images when writing them down than making a movie and as someone who creates images while reading this was CRAZYYY!

The book starts with the haunted house stereotype and I must say I wasn't particular sure it'd be unique but boyyy was I wrong!

I won't lie I was a little spooked in some parts and fearful on behalf of the characters.

What i'll say is this was mind blowing (no spoilers here haha)! The ending was certainly unexpected like AFTER EVERYTHING!?

The fact that this book has a playlist is one of the greatest added advantages ever!

This book starts off with a girl and her friends at a "haunted" scare house when the FMC, Sadie notices one of the "scare" actors outside the house seemingly taunting her. Sadie's one not to back down from a challenge so she accepts the silent challenge to meet him in the house.

I started getting suspicious when it seemed as if there were no other scare actors in the house and no mention was made of the group that entered before them.

But I knew it was real when the they suddenly started getting hurt and their separated team members were screaming in terror.

To the sweet part of the story, OMG! Sadie seduced a "scare" actor who had seemingly killed her male team mates. I definitely wasn't expecting the spice to be turned up high and it was a definitely a pleasant surprise

I would give this book more than five stars if I could. I've often heard of references being made to the "7 deadly sins" in movies but I've never seen it represented in a book so this was definitely a fresh read.

The world building in the book is incredible and we were introduced to the various parts or aspects of the book gradually. It was dumped at once as observed in other fantasy novels.

The promise of immortality and bounty or enjoyment of no bound prompts the citizens of various cities starting with Ilrea. Desperate to escape the threat of death as someone with nothing to lose, Octavia joins the volunteers.

We were introduced to Octavia, the female MC, we got to understand her, her relationships, her addiction and her journey through the trials. I definitely do not want to see a relationship with her and Nik, the typical rough or dangerous guy falling in love with the MC..

The ending was perfectly suspenseful! I enjoyed this book so much and can't wait to read the other books of this series.

The story centers on a 13 year old Andre who comes home early from camp to meet his ex best friend lying dead in their garage.

This book was mind blowing!! I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to the end. It hurt that I was unable to piece it all together and find out who the murderer was before the end.

I love the multiple POVs of the characters. However I had trouble bonding with any of the characters. All I wanted was to get to the bottom of the story. I'll admit I felt sorry for Sarah as she was obviously being manipulated by Dwayne and also felt sorry for Andrew who was in a circumstance where his parents didn't believe him & every evidence pointed towards him being the killer.

I was so glad Sarah used her head at the end. I totally thought she was going to be silenced by Dwayne and Cal.

All in all this is a great thriller. I'd totally recommend.

This book centers on the life of a 14 year old girl which is upturned with dark visions that threatens of the future of her friends and family.

I'll admit, this book is not one I'd typically read as it leans towards the younger age of the YA spectrum. However, I was able to read through the eyes of a younger me.

The sweet budding love between Hannah and Rory reminds me of when I was their age trying not to ruin conversations with my crush.

I love the fact that there were multiple POVs in this book so we could understand both sides but I do wish the timelines were more structured as well. I struggled with the frequent timeline switches that had no warnings at the beginning but gradually found my balance .

I also like how various British words were explained else I'd be so lost. The fact that the characters were given a backstory made me happy as well.

I was scared Hannah wouldn't survive or the future wouldn't change but it all ended well. I'm glad they found their happy ending. Younger me would have enjoyed this better and given it more stars than I did.
