"...silence lay steadily against the wood and stone of Hill House, and whatever walked there, walked alone." This book captured me from the very first page. I didn't want to put the book down. I loved both the paranormal and psychological aspects of this book. The characters were all so different, and I loved and hated each of them. This is one of my favorite reads this year.
