I gave it 4 stars because it is a good storyline. Very descriptive which does make it an easy read. Some of the boat terms I didn't follow. But it's also the most gruesome book I have ever read. Not something you want to read while your eating!
It was a very good detailed story but it just made it so long. I did enjoy the base of the story.
I really liked this book. There was a small area of technical stuff that I didn't quite comprehend. It's hard to imagine going overboard into a hurricane storm. The Coast Guard rescue swimmers were hero's for sure. This was a Early Reviewers pick. Glad to have won it.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. You know that it's going to be a hard story to read to begin with. I just had a hard time following the story line. It stopped and started in the timeline so I had a hard time following it. If the chapters would've had dates on them it would've helped. The bases of the story line is something to read good to read about.
I loved this story! I had no idea was it was about until I started reading it. It was funny and sad at times. The story of conjoined twins but really with separate lives within their story.
I loved this story! Most of the time I could not believe what these kids did to survive! It was one thing after another! I had this book for quite awhile I'm glad I picked it up and read it !
Not a single page dragged. Third book of John Hart's that I've read. Was not disappointed at all.
I have read a couple other books by Chevy Stevens, I liked them. This one I can't say the same for. The highschool kids in the story got on my nerves. The main character Toni could never get anyone to listen to her the story the entire book. Even when the highschool characters turned into adults they still were acting like children. I read through the book just to get it over with. It was suspenseful at the very end.
I also won this book through early reviewers LT. The snowy and icy tundra of Northern Alaska was a great backdropped for this time of year. Ruby the deaf daughter was a great character and I loved her narration. The base of the story was very believable and I could actually imagine the landscape and the harsh tempatures. The only reason I didn't get it a 5, was the ending was complete, but I just wanted a bit more.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This is a true love story. Though it be between a man and his dog aka bestfriend. This kind of bonding is rare to find between two humans.
Knew going into reading this book that it would be sad. But it was even more so. It was a frustrating tale of America. Just wish there was a way to hit a redo button. Would of loved to see what the Indians that died could've made for themselves if given the chance to breathe.
Sad, depressing, funny and hopeful all in one. Lots of good one liners to live by... ( thought about how love was always the thing that did that- smashed into you, left you raw. The deeper you loved, the deeper it hurt) ....puttin' rain in my eyes tears in my dreams and rocks in my heart-Billie Holiday.
(What might make you happy? asked the professor. " Small thighs" "My boyfriend finding my G spot" "Prince Charming"
Allyson hooked her bare feet around the chair in front of her. "Prince Charming locating my G spot between my thin thighs" And of course this one " Our day will come If we just wait awhile...

I thought the whole story was awesome. Lots of sad parts, but such is life. Alot of Bean's feelings I could relate to, that is why I gave it a 5 star
I choose this book because it was written with Seattle as the backdrop. The main characters lived on a houseboat. But not much else about Seattle in the storyline. The story was about relationships, failed relationships. The suspense started from the very beginning to the last chapter. It did hold my attention, but I was wanting more to the mystery of Ian disappearing. I felt like as the reader I was the only one desparate to find out what happened to him. This is the first book I've read by Deb Caletti, so I can not compare it to her other novels.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.Excellant book! True love is never forgotten even after it's gone. Some love stories seem too good to be true, too easy. But I really fell for the love story here.
