This book is packed full of uncomfortable truths about humans. But the very fact that I squirmed under the scrutiny of the author’s “interrogator’s light” evidences the authenticity of his arguments; my intuition that he’s “on the money” is what made me so uncomfortable! But the beauty of this book is that feeling of discomfort soon becomes one of calmness based on knowledge; the compassionate delivery of his explanation of human behaviour meant I could go from feeling exposed and daunted by the truth he’s revealing to simply experiencing many “A-ha, of course!” moments of clarity.
