After several recommendations and me reading “The Jerusalem Assassin” first, I’ve come to the conclusion that Avraham Azrieli is an extremely talented novelist. His work is very clever, with a realist appeal.
In the first few pages of The Jerusalem Inception, I thought, “Oh no… here goes another overly religious historical book.”(Well it was, but it expressed so much more) The story happens during the times of the Six Day War in Israel. The reader becomes cleverly immersed smack dab in the middle of suspenseful, yet romantic love triangle.
This is when my focus deepened; me being a lady of love.

Read it!!!
The Jerusalem Assassin takes you on a suspenseful journey through Europe and the Middle East the mid 1990’s, where Avraham Azrieli exposes the political struggle and portrays actual historic events of that time. Much of the book is based on spy like intelligence and conspiracy.

Avraham brilliantly illustrated all humanist qualities in his characters and their roles. My favorite character… Ellie, you will love and hate him all in the same breath. This is an easy read , with a smooth combination of politics, romance, suspense and style; which make it really hard to put down. With that being said, I would highly recommend The Jerusalem Assassin to readers of all genres.

I even went back to start on the prequel The Jerusalem Inception.
