This book is the first in Junie B. Jones series. It is about how Junie is about to start kindergarten and her fears of not only starting school but riding the bus. She hid and everyone panicked, once they found her, she was in big trouble, but she expressed to her mom about how she felt. Her mom called a little girls mother that was about to start riding the bus, and the Junie decided to give it a chance because now she would have a friend. The Junie B. This book could be read at any age, but mainly from pre-k-2nd.
For grades Pre-k- 2nd, Corduroy is about a little bear who lives in a department store. One day a little girl sees corduroy and wants her mother to buy him. Her mother said no because he was missing a button and she "spent too much already." Corduroy was surprised he was missing a button, so when everyone is gone, he goes on a hunt to find his missing button. Thinking the mattress button is his, he makes a noise and the security guard finds him and puts him back. The next day, Lisa comes back and spends her money she saved up and bought him. When she got home she sewed a button onto him, and they were both happy to have each other. In this sweet book, it is about self-image for children. It expresses how everyone is enough no matter what their race, size, abilities and all. We are all going to have up's and down's, but in the end, we are beautiful and enough. Highly recommend reading to students to teach about confidence, love, and acceptance. This could honestly be read in all grade classrooms.
This wordless story is so beautiful. The pictures in this book, do a great job of telling a story of a clown who gets lost and finds comfort in a farmer who took him in and took care of the sweet clown. This book illustrates compassion and friendship. It is great for all ages and interpreting books by pictures.

Bobby a student in Ms. Kirby's class believes she is a monster because of the way she acts in school. One day, Bobby goes to the park where he sees Ms. Kirby on the bench. Ms. Kirby hat gets blown away by the wind, so Bobby helps to get it. From that point on, Bobby views Ms. Kirby a little differently.
