This was a great collection of short stories, showing different aspects to being on the job as a police officer. A quick read and really insightful. Loved it!
A thrilling and fast paced read that hooked me from the first page. Can't wait to find out what happens next.
‘The Foundation’ is a fantastic thriller that doesn’t disappoint. With fast paced action and a great cast of characters, the story hooks you from the first page. At times you forget you are reading a book, the events unfolding are so scarily real.
Jack Emery is a likeable protagonist and his struggles to cope with the disasters in his world resonate. He is flawed and outnumbered but determined to do what’s right.
Michelle Dominique is a fascinating antagonist with her own moral compass, making for a compelling character.
In all, this book is the ultimate package. It offers a suspense filled read that will keep you thinking long after you read the last page.
I can't wait to find out what is next for Jack Emery.

This was such a great book. I loved the way death was portrayed as a business, and the detail that was used to create such a vivid and believable story world. I really liked Steve and how he did everything he could to stave off the Regional Apocalypse. A fantastic read, and I can't wait to dive into the second book in the series to see what happens next. And I know it is going to be a hell of a ride.
This was an intriguing paranormal story that took place over two timelines. With strong heroines not afraid to fight for what is right and plenty of twists and turns to keep the readers guessing.
Do not read this book if you have a creepy old house in your street. Or if you are home alone. Or at night. Talk about a fright fest. This book sent chills down my spine and stayed with me long after I finished the last page. If you want to scare yourself silly then Hollow House is the book for you. Loved it!
I loved this story. Great characters, rick and unique world building, and with more books in the series. I was hooked from page one and the pace kept me interested until the last word.
I loved Tara and the intriguing mix of characters she gets tangled up with. A fast paced and entertaining read that left me feeling like I was parting with old friends when I turned the last page. So glad there are more Tara Sharp books for me to dive into.
I am loving this series and look forward to the next book. The cast of characters are intriguing and the action exciting. I especially love the glimpses into Rian's dark world and will be bouncing up and down exited when his and Ella's story is finally told. In the meantime I got to enjoy the quick banter and steamy interactions between Mae and Zander. I love that Mae is strong, capable and is more likely to be the one doing the saving. She's no damsel in distress, and Zander is the perfect hero for her. The crew of the Imojenna, in particular the captain, are doing a great job of making me forget how sad I am that Firefly got cancelled.
This was such a wonderful story. Everyone should have friends who will share the good times and the bad with you, and help you bury the bodies if necessary. Though in Ellie's case it was help her solve a murder.
I devoured it in one sitting and I know that this is a book I will cherish for many years to come.
Any book by Sandy Curtis is an auto buy for me and she never disappoints, especially when the story twists and takes me to unexpected places.
Loved it!

As a newcomer to steampunk, this anthology was the perfect introduction. With nine distinct story worlds to lose myself in, I found myself cheering on the characters as they faced adversity and navigated the weird and wonderful situations their creators put them in. Overall, the writing flowed and I will definitely be reading more steampunk in the future.
Move over Jack Reacher. Alex Morgan is the ultimate action hero. 'Defender' is a fast paced and thrilling action adventure that doesn't disappoint.
The Blood She Betrayed is the first book in the urban fantasy Heart Hunters series. It follows the adventures of Shahkara, a half-Taloner princess determined to rid her world of the evil Taloners who devour human hearts. Shahkara’s quest leads her to Earth in search of the Elnara, a death lantern with the power to destroy Taloners.
Catapulted into a world of technological excess, not sure who she can trust, Shahkara encounters Max, a geeky teen on a Taloner’s hit list. They team up to find the Elnara, a hunt fraught with peril as unknown enemies try to stop them. But danger lurks close at hand as her growing bond with Max stirs Shahkara’s Taloner instincts. Can she trust herself around him, or will she be unable to resist the lure of his beating heart?
Shahkara is an intriguing mix of warrior princess and naïve young woman. Determined to save her people, she will sacrifice everything to do what is right. Max is a boy on the brink of becoming a man, and Shahkara is the catalyst that will allow him to discover his true self.
Fast paced and packed with enough twists and turns to keep even the most diehard adventurers happy, The Blood She Betrayed will delight readers. A seamless blend of myth, magic and mayhem, this book delivers on every level. Part coming of age, part romance and full on adventure, fans of Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments will fall in love with the engaging characters and get swept up in a centuries old battle of good versus evil. When the lines show more get blurred, no one is safe, but with Shahkara wielding a sword at least mankind stands a chance. show less

The Spirit of Love is a love story set in Cornwall. Filled with interesting characters and vivid descriptions, the setting becomes a character and mirrors the heroine’s personal journey. Julia arrives full of grief for her dead husband and tackles the renovation of an old manor and its sprawling estate that has been neglected for years. As Julia opens herself up to love again, the manor is brought back to splendour. Ghosts, a brave cat, and faithful servants aid Julia as she fights not only for her own happiness but for everyone linked to the estate. Beautifully written, this tale of second chances is a great book to curl up with.
I was hooked from page one, eager to read on and learn more. The immediacy of the first person present tense allowed me to be inside the characters' heads and really experience this story in full technicolour. The writing is vivid and paints such an amazing picture that it makes me want to go to Bruny Island and hang out with the locals.
I fell in love with Grace and Nick and thoroughly enjoyed the ups and downs of their relationship. They were likable characters and it was a pleasure to be a part of their journey as they tackled the many adversities standing in the path of their happily ever after.
The secondary characters are just as engaging and I hope to read more about them in the near future.
Aquila is a lovely romance that leaves me with the sense of having been part of something magical.

This is an awesome book. Can't wait until the next one in the series comes out.
This book hooked my heart from the very first page and didn't let go. I devoured it in one sitting, eager to find out what devastating event had separated Luke and Lani eleven years ago and waiting for them to overcome all the obstacles blocking their path to Happily Ever After. This is an emotionally satisfying and fast paced read that any romance lover would fall in love with.
Another fantastic book from a must read author. I gulped it down in no time, really drawn in by the characters and the story. Who wouldn't fall in love with a gorgeous man willing to do anything to help his young niece. Braden is a strong hero, brought to his knees by his niece's pain, and Jenna is the perfect woman to heal both their wounds. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a happy ending.
A lovely romance with plenty of twists and turns and a thread of danger to keep the reader intrigued.
A fun, quirky and sexy read. It hits all the right spots and kept me smiling from the first page to the last.
I loved this book. I loved Darcy and the kids, and the pace kept me hooked from the first page to the last. I didn't want it to end and would love to read more about the secondary characters, the Knight family.
A fun read that has Lora taking charge and saving the day. Full of action and humour, it is a satisfying end to the Chronicles of Applecross, but still leaves me wanting more.
This book was everything I had hoped for and more. I started reading and couldn't put it down. A fantastic addition to the Aurora series and I can't wait for the next book to come out.
I loved this book. Started reading and couldn't stop until I got to the end and then I had to go and buy books 2 and 3. Fantastic characters, awesome action and an intriguing world. Can't wait to find out what happens next.
I loved this book. It was packed with intriguing characters, awesome action and kept me guessing right to the end. Definitely a page turner and can't wait to read book three in the series.
A fantastic read that kept me hooked from start to finish. Didn't want it to end and would love to read more Alex Caine adventures.
I really enjoyed this novella. It had mystery, romance and kept me guessing all the way to the last page. The heroine and hero were interesting and well-developed characters, both who had been hurt before and were taking a chance on trusting someone, which was hard to do when someone else was out to ruin both their lives. They had to overcome the emotional scars and learn that letting go of past pain and dropping the walls shutting each other out was the best way to fight for their happy ever after.
A lovely story that is perfect for reading over Christmas.

I loved this story. It was so full of hope and joy, despite the heroine having to endure years of ostracism for an incident that took place when she was a child. I loved Grace, her joyous spirit and how she never let the bad behaviour of others diminish her good heart. I also loved her family, especially Fel the cat.
The words flowed across the page and I was there for every moment as Grace and Declan fought with each other and against the expectations of others as they battled their way to their happy ever after.
Fun, flirty and filled with great moments, this is one story I did not want to end.

This book had me hooked from the start and did not let go. The action was amazing, the danger intense. OMG. Alex Morgan versus Sharks. I really love the Intrepid series and this latest book did not disappoint. Alex Morgan is the ultimate action hero, ready to die to save innocent lives. He's not perfect, he has his flaws, but that's what makes him even more likeable. And the plot is one that has an eerie blend of truth and fiction that resonated long after I read the last page.
If you are looking for an intelligent edge of your seat thrill ride then you need to read the Intrepid Series.
Love it.
