Many interesting tidbits in this little book. Well worth reading through.
Easily one of the best books I've read in the past 5 years. Outstanding writing which completes absorbs thought and feeling as one reads; didn't want the book to end.
A real page-turner; eye-opening descriptions of life in the poor favelas of Brazil.
An interesting read however Snyder needs to publicly retract some factual errors which have been well documented since Trumps election. Provoking.
A riveting first hand account of life under Nazi oppression. Should be required reading for high school + college.
Makes you think; reconsider all your thoughts, ideas about many basic things in life.
Rich in detail; an intriguing look at the final days of some of the leaders of the Third Reich interacting with psychiatrists and other prisoners.
Not to my liking; I find the writing overly imaginative at times; stilted, unrealistic, flowery. I put it down after getting nearly halfway through.
I gave it away.
A goldmine of suggestions & information for those who love to read and/or help library patrons find books of worth & enjoyment. Quite suitable for the non-professional.
Couldn't understand even half of what she was writing about; thoroughly uninteresting & not worth the effort.
Another Austen novel I have given up on; can't relate to her style of expression ~ hysterical, over the top emotionalism, flowery expressions.
A page-turner with interesting observations on every page. The manner in which Jenkins opens up his thoughts as he goes through this journey provokes reevaluation of one's viewpoint of the various topics touched upon ~ drug use, spirituality, sexual identity etc.
Almost as good as his 'Peace Like A River'; top-notch fiction.
Awesome! Apart from The Lord of the Rings ~ can't think of a book I've enjoyed more.
A goldmine of suggestions of what to read, authors to pursue and ideas to consider while reading.
