This one was good, but...
This book was filled with characters that we've seen before. There were only a few new additions. I thought the story was okay; the mystery remained until almost the very end, but I honestly just did not like the way things turned out.
One, one of my favorite characters from a previous book, Kye, showed up in this one. I thought that Kye was interesting, and I was looking forward to seeing how his character developed and what happened, if anything, between him and Riley. I don't remember him being a very nice character, but I thought there were more positives to him, that we just hadn't seen yet. Well, she went very dark with him, and I am not sure that was a fair way to go. So, I was disappointed in that respect.
I don't feel that she advanced Riley much, either. She spent most of the book anguishing about Kye being her soulmate, and I'm not sure there was any growth in any respect, other than her finally realizing that she really loves Quinn. So, it's not all bad.
I'd have to say that as much as I waited for this book, it's probably my least favorite in the series, although I think that the character, and the series, is still good enough to keep following it, and waiting for the next book to come out.
Keri Arthur is a very good writer, and I would recommend this one, too, even though I didn't like it quite as much as the others.
