Out of the kindness of my heart I will be giving this book 2 stars. The cover of the book is so damn pretty, but the inside... it's the most predictable storyline ever. This book is like watching a Bachelor season being unfolded. Did I like any of the characters??? Hmmm no not really. I just didn't think that this book was executed that well. Maxon is just so naive and America is just so indecisive. The entire love triangle thing between Aspen, America and Maxon just made me cringe. The whole time I while I was reading it I was like this:

Exactly. Two idiots in love. Couple goals.
This was such a cute and short read. I was kind of expecting a bit more, but I just love Nick and Charlie.

Thank you to HarperCollins and Edelweiss for this ARC, in exchange for an honest review.
Not Here to Be liked was such a great read. I absolutely loved how this book explored feminism in various aspects and the different character perspectives of what it means to be a feminist. I also really liked how this book looked at stereotypes as well. At first, Eliza did seem like an unlikeable character but she eventually grew onto me. Her character development was really nice. I also really liked the side characters as they were really complex. As much as I wanted to love it I wasn't as engaged with the relationship between Eliza and Len, although they did have some cute moments!
Personally, I loved how the author incorporated Cantonese romanizations into the book as it was such a nice touch. I also enjoyed Eliza's family dynamics as well.
Overall, if you're looking for a feminist contemporary YA book with some romance, this book is definitely worth the read.

I personally liked The Sun and Her Flowers slightly more than milk and honey. I really like her illustration style and how it accentuated the poems more. Although, there were a quite a lot of poems which were extremely repetative and some were a bit in my face. Some of the poems were also so similar to milk and honey that it went over my head. I did really like immigration poems though.

This was my first ever poetry read and I'm glad that I read this. I found some of the poems stood out for me, but some weren't exactly quite my cup of tea. I liked how Rupi Kaur is so outspoken and is so unapologetic. The book was powerful and emotional. I really enjoyed the theme of femininity. Although, there were some poems which were only a few lines which was supposed to be intentionally powerful, but to be completely honest it didn't make me feel much. I did really like the illustrations, I thought the linework was really beautiful.

President Snow is even more unlikable in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes than the Hunger Games Series. I couldn't careless about the characters, except maybe for Tigris. I love a good villain origin story, but this was not it.

I read a lot of people's reviews saying how much they loved the book and the series. I felt that by the end of the book everything was a chaos because everything was going on at the same time. The plot twist was predictable and I saw it coming. To be completely honest I like Nehemia more than Celaena. I just kind of felt a bit underwhelmed due to how many great things people were saying, however I will still continue reading this series and see how it goes.

"I LIKE CHARLIE SPRING! IN A ROMANTIC WAY NOT JUST A FRIEND WAY"
This is soooooo cute and wholesome. I love Nick and Charlie and I love Charlie's friends. I want to pop them all in my pocket. I absolutely adore the art style as well. I feel like this graphic novel series is throwing marshmallows at me cause of the amount of fluff and it's so so so soft. Heartstopper: Volume Three here I come!!

WOW I haven't read this book in like 9-10 years. I used to be a Twihard and I remember being so insanely obsessed with these books and also the movies. To be completely honest, I thought I would hate it because of all the books I've read that have been way better than Twilight, but it was ok re reading it again. 3/4 of the book were pretty cheesy and sappy I must admit. Some parts were boring where I just skimmed through it. The minor characters were so much better than Bella, Edward and Jacob combined. I think it was just the movie which made this book look laughable.

To be clear: I don't believe in fate. But I'm desperate.
I really wanted to love this book, but I wasn't as amazed as everyone on goodreads was when I finished this book. I think because of all the hype, I thought that this book was amazing. I liked the idea of this book, I love the diversity and how the main characters are POC which I really do like. I also think the author based this book on her life as well, which is really nice, however the whole thing with both the main characters saying that they are meant to be after meeting 12 hours is quite unrealistic. Some of the side characters were ok I guess, but god how I just did not like Jeremy Fitzgerald. Overall, it was good, but not as amazing as I thought it would've been by the end of the book.

I love Halsey as a musician / lyricist, however as a poet... I don't know... it kind of felt something off of tumblr. I did like some of the poems and I loved how some of them were from Hopeless Fountain Kingdom and Manic.
I also couldn't really connect with the themes as I haven't experienced any of them so there's that...
On a side note I really love the cover and how she painted it!!

This book was sooooo good!!!! It was actioned-packed, magical and had a few twists and there. I am literally invested and obsessed with the world of multiple London's. The characters are freakishly amazing. There's Kell, who's a magician and few the only who can travel though, red, white, grey and black London which is forbidden. There's also Prince Rhy of Red London who is so beautiful and there's also Delilah Bard, who is from Grey London and is such a bad ass and I absolutely love her. I even thought the POV's of other additional characters were really good as well.
I seriously can't wait to read the second book!!

There's no need for a rating, I think my review says it all
Oh my.... this book did not disappoint at all. It was straight up bad, that I just skimmed read most of the book. The plot was really bad, the writing was bad and the characters, what a complete debacle. My face during this book was like this but probably 10 times worse:
Anastasia Steele, oh honey.... I just could not help but roll my eyes to the back of my head. How many times does your "inner goddess" have to be mentioned???
I know you are seriously 100% head over heels for him, but seriously just stop. OH MY GOD, BUT THE ENDING.... I JUST NO. NO. NOOOOO. How she says she says sorry for telling him that he's "a fucked up son of a bitch" and still loves him after what has just happened in his "playroom" what the actual hell NO. The book is set in 2011 not the middle ages, but apparently it looks like it though.
Ok, Christian fucked up Grey, he is a micromanaging, misogynistic, manipulative and abusive shit. He apparently has a big dick from Ana's point of view that is, but that definitely does not mean he should be an even bigger dick. Also, what is his issue of constantly pushing Anastasia to eat all the time, but then telling her to exercise 3-4 times a week???? HMMMMMMMMMMM???? Apparently his three amazing qualities are:
1. He's good looking
2. He's good looking
3. Did I mention he's good looking and charms?
and basically that's the complexities of Mr Christian fucked up Grey. He is the utmost basic character one show more can ever read about.
He really needs a good hit over the head or a good step on his feet. He is the epitome of what shit looks like.
I'm sorry girls, but Christian Grey IS NOT PRINCE CHARMING.
There was no plot to it, I was so bored out of my mind and plus skim reading it was better than losing half of my brain cells. Actually abuse was written all over the pages throughout the book. Even a near rape situation occurred with Anastasia and her crap ass friend Jose and it was brushed off so damn blatantly.
Overall, if anyone recommends you this book please run the other direction and never look back because you will be doing yourself a massive favour.
Also just to add on, I will never ever ever touch these books ever again. show less

Don't ignore half of me so you can fit me into a box. Don't do that.
I rarely ever cry when reading books (I've only ever cried in 2 books), but this book just made me sob so much. I was so invested in this book from the start and I read this book in 1 day and I don't usually finish 300 worth of pages in one day.
This whole book was written so beautifully and those last chapters made me cry so much. This book is definitely worth the hype, it made me so emotional and the PAIN IT HAS CAUSED ME. The book may be a bit cliché and not usually what I like reading but from the start to the end I was so invested in the plot, story and the life of Evelyn Hugo. I love Evelyn, Celia and Harry so much. I just can't, I'm done.

I actually enjoyed this a lot. Compared to the Bane Chronicles which I was extremely disappointed in, I really liked this collection of novellas. I loved how some of the short stories there were character appearances from TID and TDA. I loved Simon's wittiness and how we get to see his development throughout the Academy. I absolutely loved loved loved George, everything about him was amazing. Although that sixth and last novella just hit me with a ton of bricks GEORGE LOVELACE DID NOT DESERVE IT

All I can say is that this book DESTROYED ME AND I WAS NOT DEFINITELY NOT PREPARED. THANKS JAY KRISTOFF.
It took me three attempts to read this book because I always stopped at page 66 and read other books instead. DON’T DO WHAT I DID! PERSEVERE! It definitely got so much better and I loved every single moment of it.
The plot was so good, yet so brutal and so bloody. The whole world building was awesome and I love the characters. Mia is literally amazing and so badass and I adore Mr Kindly so much. TRIC! I love him so so so much I just wanted to hug him. I loved the writing and the twists and turns of the plot that caught me so off guard. The footnotes got a bit tiresome for me after I really got into the book so I skipped some. I have Godsgrave sitting right next to me and I’m so excited to see what’s going to happen next.

As though, knowing that everything is possible, suddenly nothing is necessary.
I don't know.... maybe it was the writing style, maybe because I love the show a lot and I watched the show before I read the book. This book wasn't amazing. It was definitely well-written, but there were some parts of the book which were extremely questionable and I was glad that the show cut those out (for example the sex scene after Claire kills the first time, I'm sorry but no.) . Also there was one chapter which had 50 pages and it was draining and quite boring. There's a fine line between detail and way too much detail, and this had way too much detail, to the point where it became boring and I didn't care about it. In the beginning we get 100-200 pages of introduction which I found was so unnecessary, the pacing was so slow.
Then there was Jamie, I love show Jamie so much, but book Jamie.... yeah I'm sorry he annoyed me. I can't quite put my finger on why he annoyed me, but he just did. I liked Claire, but like Jamie, I like her better in the show. The show stuck with the storyline of the book, but to be completely honest, the show 100% beats the book for me. I will read the next book and Voyager just to catch up with the show, but overall it was just meh.

Things'll get worse before they get better.
Honestly, I originally started rating this as 3.5 then a 4 because I started to like the characters and the whole suspense, but ultimately it came down to 3 stars.
This follows the point of views of four main characters - Addy, Cooper, Nate and Bronwyn where they have all been accused of the murder of Simon during their time in detention due to having their owm secrets.
At first, I didn't quite like any of them as it was so stereotyped but eventually I grew to like them. The plot was gripping and was definitely a page-turner, although it was definitely an extremely slow pacing. At times I also wanted more mystery/thriller instead I got more romance and drama. By the end I was 100% not satisfied with everything, it was such a great start but it fell apart by the last 1/3 of the book. I almost had tears in my eyes when the murder was revealedthe fact that Simon killed himself and framed the others with micromanaging shithead Jake wasn't what I expected, but I'm surely not satisfied. The representation of mental illness was actually quite tasteless.
I had quite high hopes with this book, it did live up to it's expectations through some aspects, but the ending wasn't executed well.

I really enjoyed these two short stories. I personally loved Kindered Spirits more than Midnights, but I still enjoyed it. I really really really love the illustrations a lot, the style was so beautiful. The characters were also likeable and I related to Elena quite a bit.

"Crash-Landing on Calm and I’d really like to punch whichever idiot thought he was being so cute when he named this planet.”
Crownchasers was a fun and adventurous book. It was filled with rollercoasters. I really liked Alyssa Farshot as the narrator; she’s so witty and so carefree. It was also nice to have a lot of representation in the book. On the other hand, the other characters weren’t as interesting as Alyssa.
The structure of the book was really unique and that made me more invested in the book. I enjoyed the flashback chapters quite lot. What I really wanted was more backstory with Alyssa and her ex girlfriend Faye as well as some other plot holes.
I enjoyed the ending and I’m looking forward to see what the sequel will bring and what will happen.
