I really struggled with this book and I got about halfway through before giving up for something else. At first it was quite confusing trying to decide who was who in the dialog. It is a slow moving book and did not grab my interest in the first half. The cover is beautiful and is what grabbed my attention but the content inside I found dull.

This book was a real tear jerker. I was sniffling and holding back tears while reading. It is a very touching story of one man's grief and how he dealt with it. If you need a good cry with a nice ending read this book.

A slow start but stick with it, it does get better. Some graphic gore, but being a coroner what do you expect. The series should be read in order, it picks up off one book onto the next. This one ends as a cliff hanger so be sure to have the next book handy.
